umm yah.. simply put it.. things move faster.. parts wear out faster..

but that's reasonable... the only thing bout polini is it non-durability...

cos unlike our stock block it does not have a layer of coating to strength the cylinder wall..

unless ya rich enough to send it for nicasil or ceramic coating..

then that would be a different story...

Wow! yesterday saw many Aprilia riders @ Yishun Dam ..... my time in 1996, all aprilia go play illegal race in changi .... nobody wanna go outing at orchard

 

But now... i'm so impressed .... not that i dont love aprilia.... but it's just too expensive for me .. .

Plug access to most of the newer literbikes (and 600s) is horrendously difficult. I've changed plugs twice... bad bad bad.

 

Fairings have to go off. Fuel tank comes up. Airbox goes off. Radiator have to come off halfway. Then the mechanic has to reach in and use feel to grab the plug coils.

 

By the time he reaches the first plug, it's nearly 15mins gone. Hence there is a service charge for changing plugs on these bikes. The plugs I get cost $12 a piece. Add service to that and it will average to $20 a piece.

 

I used to change my RS125 plugs myself. It's 10x easier.

the mech took like almost the whole morning just to change 4 plugs on the cbr1000rr..

 

prior to that, i thot he was changing some carb or engine parts thingys...

when i asked the rider wat did he change.. i was shocked that it looks like to me

tat the time taken could have been enough to do a top overhaul for my 125...

 

sheesh...

 

but i'm still finding out whether does the plug for cbr1000rr cost ard 50$ per piece...

racing is a no no and illegal mods are a no no too..

Lucky most of these bike bikes normally run on EFI wher a PC install n a dyno u can set most things n even the carb types they also hav dynojet....for the Aprilia I guess the option of taking the plug out every now n then checking ur plug's colour when u r doin ur carb jetting n tuning is much easier
