ur bulb has nothing to do with it. it has something to do with the relay and resistor. i have changed my bulb before to a so called brighter one but no difference due to the resistor. im trying to get the one used by the newer aprilias and see if got difference.

For which year; which model?

Pls specify.

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

Do or do not; there is no 'try'.

i just changed piston, ring, con rod and everything at Ideal...

total 720$

but I'd asked a few shop around.. Wing Yap quoted me around the same

price.. but they got a few types of piston and con rod..

Ah Ken from Pang's Scooter quoted me above 1000$

in the end, I went back to Ideal.. feel more safe with him..

heee

just called them and they said its not just a simple piston jam.

i need to change exactly the parts u listed but for $750.

freak man... sell backside also dunno can get that much or not haha

think i'm selling it off cheap... any takers ? or maybe i go and scrap... more worth it ?

bike at Ideal (FR plate replica) needs to change the parts eyz listed.

have a RS pipe to sell also

didn't even have the chance to use it

edit : bike has no more installments left. changed clutch pressure plate, side stand, windscreen (is it wat its called ?) not long ago

Hi Phil, you are toking to a gang of Aprillians here, definately u will go here good comments here...

Honestly, you must understand that Aprillia is a 125cc bike and Sp is 150cc. Aprillia is heavier too. Therefore in terms of speed, don't need to compare at all.

If u are an italian bike lover, you will love RS125 for its looks and handling.

Bad point is that its a little more ex to maintain if anything spoils.

Try taking corner and bend with both of these bikes and u will understand wha I mean.

hi guys...

how u all find rs125 ? i mean in terms of performace compare to SP ?

heh ur gonna get a biased comment if u ask here.

of course rs125 is better in all aspects, it feels safer on the road too.

SP - skinny tires, frame too light for its engine power, noisier than aprilia, pillon keeps sliding forwards (aprilia pillon slides backwards haha).

and the worst part of it all - almost every 2b biker has one, phantom aside.

Better to be loved, than to hate...

well said bktan :thumb:

but just to add on, SP has a weight which is similar to aprilias, but the weight distribution is very much different, hence affected the handling

Frankly speaking, i find that aprilia's handling is really great, plus u get upside down forks

Also u cannot deny that bigger tyre = more contact patch

But speedwise, stock aprilias cant go to as high a top speed as SPs

so its a tradeoff la

rotax 122 clutch basket - very low wear, see to believe!

i wouldn't dare try top speed on an SP, it just might *TAKE OFF* without u knowing, and that's kinda scary if u ask me.

but then again, aprilia's has a bankrupt problem to deal with and for honda's side, even how much prayers are made, they'd never go bankrupt.

Better to be loved, than to hate...

Hello all esteemed fellow Aprilians!

I'm leaving today for a weekend getaway with my girlfriend. Going to Malacca from Sat till Sun.

This time abit relieved... At least i know my gf wont spend as much in M'sia as she did in HK last month! muahahahaa

Have to get to the hotel by 8am later today.... still havent found my passport yet! kan jiongz spider liao!! :help:

Dunno where it has run off to since my last trip to Gelang Patah for supper.

Sigh... gonna miss my Aprilia. I kissed her goodnight earlier on, and whispered sweet nothings to her...

But no response from her... must be koonz already. :cheeky:

Hope come back on Mon still can start....

All Aprilians out there, take care of your babies! Or the Aprilia fairy-godmudder's gonna come after you....

Believe nothing you hear; and only half of what you see.

strangely, i felt Arpilia is lighter than I tried on SP..

mayb KRR would be lighter..

anyway, top speed is not really the most important..

heard from Servo, the most important is the powerband..

however i dunno much about that.. mayb Servo would like to elaborate..

phill, the best thing is to get your licence 1st, if you haven't..

next would be to trying out the bike and see how it feels..

here is talk only... most importanly is how you feel.. you can't feel by

listening only..
