how sad... my friend dropped my bike last night..now i thinking of airbrushing..

 

he was trying to make a U turn in a small road in JB...then i heard..."szzhhhhh (sand)" and then my bike was on the floor and he was trying to bring it up in a state of shock....haiz...tot i could keep my bike mint for a longer period of time! anyway, he offered to compensate fully for all the damages..

 

heres a list of things thats spoiled.. if any of you can help me state the price of each, it would be deeply appreciated. no 2nd handed parts pls.. original from mah/ anywher else.

 

1) Right Fairing

2) right signal light

3) right balancer

4) right mirror

 

wonder whats with the right side damages!!! yest chris and alex fren also buanged their right side! grrrr....

 

i am now considering a airbrush and so maybe i can sell my left fairing/ anyone who wans the right side that has scratches(thats if you have one that is cracked and you wan a non-cracked one for respray).

 

haiz... why didnt i jus oversleep...was atually contemplating not to go in.. :cry:

Not wanting to be mean, for those that cannot take it, then set up your own private forum...

 

 

Speedkills: No need to sell your left/right fairings wat. You can use that for your track days. Just buy a new set for daily riding/showing lar. And for the balancer, why dun buy aftermarket? Got many colour to choose from, and also cheaper.

snowparang> the big problem is the amount I've spent on the bike compared to the amount I've ridden it vs the amount of time it's been sitting in the shop. I could have bought a 1999 GSXR750 EFI SRAD and whacked it around the track like 10 times for the same amount of money like my good friend did.

 

Yeah, the shock price seemed ok to me at first but then after speaking to a few more ppl I got the impression I was getting ripped if I paid that price.

quite dumb right...because i lend my bike to someone who dropped it i have to buy aftermarket..

 

anyway do you roughly know the price for one side of the fairing? i wanna know the price so i can let my friend know how much he should compensate me. really rather it never happened...waste time and money.

i dun know where the ppl u tok to get their prices from... but i was told that a set of extrema fairings, tail, side head and the one un the seat just cost 70 bucks! i think its unbelievable... asked muser too and he tink its impossible... i tot i do everything myself so i dun really know the prices outside so i asked him... well still dunno where they get... if u think its worth then get it don need to listen to others.... they might not know the potential of something.

 

there is one guy who said mah motor claims that putting a set of arrows on a rs250 can gain 20bhp... rubbish man... on the websites only said 2bhp gain... ppl pass massages sometime exergrate from one to another and snowball to 20bhp! wat the hack...

and if he's ya fren and Vitamin M to him isn't a big deal.. by all mean too..

 

anyway, ya shud haf prepared for it the moment ya pass ya bike to ya fren, rite?

 

tis is wat suggest to ya...

 

if the mirror ain't cracked, jus use some sandpaper to smooth out the rough patches.. then use a matt black spray can and spray lightly over the sanded area..

 

signal, if it broken, get a new 1 from mah..

 

balancer, use paint removal to remove the paint.. smooth out the off the scratched part with sandpaper.. and spray a nice metallic paint over it.. ya gotta do tis fast, as d scratched part will tend to rust very fast.. give it a finishin coat of lacquer..

 

fairing, call mah for the cost of a new fairing.. or jus respray..

hey chin kuan, i jus called mah....one side fairing alone cost $600 plus! crazy price man...

 

anyway, bo pian la...never in my intention to chop my friend...but if not i cover everything and i dun think i wanna do that because tho partly my fault for lending him but i feel that...if he drops, he pays. thats why i dun dare to try people bike for that very reason. now i am thinking of ways to reduce the damages like selling the fairing away to replace with old ones to respray. all these things will again take time! and all my stickers goes with it as well!! thats the heart pain part.

 

so i gonna get the final amount from Mah then see how much my existing fairings can go for. as for the balancers, i can go for aftermarket...but thats the most i would compromise because this whole episode i feel very dumb about it. i have warned him that my bike is heavy and different. besides he feels bad about it so i dun mind compromising on the balancers and maybe the signal light. but mirror and fairing i do hope he can compensate me.

 

expensive lesson to learn.. and i hope it will be over soon. more troubles added to my existing assignments!! hahaha...

In comparision

 

A Rex does 9L/100km

 

A Beemer 318i 12L/100km

Whaha... yeah man.. I swear my ancient old celica ate like 15clicks per litre... so I was darn shocked when I started digging for coins in the petrol counter front...

 

Still, yeah, its a 2-stroker.. we all know what we are in for.. hmm, still have to think of ways to let it be more user friendly coz I cant ride for nutz and I just pose on the bike to and fro from work~ hahaa

 

So nevertheless, probably gotta sort some professional opinion on the bike....

ppl i selling y2k fairings... got almost 2 sets... u can use them as track or respray... replica one only have head and a tail... 250 ones also have...

if yr jettings is correct then u might wanna change yr sprocket ratio to gain more mileage... lose a bit of pick up...

Hi there, glad you found our Aprilia thread. But this is an unmoderated thread, so its quite unstructured and messy, and I hope you understand that on the internet, we may misunderstand the intentions of the person posting a message we may find offensive.

 

Everyone enjoys his company because Axxis is a straightforward guy who doesnt mince words. I'm sure if you had met under different circumstances or had met him first before seeing his post, you would have reacted differently.

 

Also, Hanif didnt mean his 'wtf' to be taken literally. I'm sure he's just expressing surprise at how quickly things can go bad.
