If it looks like a mini bullet, I think is the float needle or float pin...(i only remember the shape, and cant find the proper name on the parts list)

If it indeed is the float needle/float pin thing, it helps control the float, and if that is spoilt, might be a reason why you are experiencing overflow.

i believe its know as the fuel valve... the float controls it to stop fuel coming in from the tank...

This looks similar to my friends bike which comes with an RS pipe (not the milo-kong).

Very good buy @ 3.2k! (so long as it's mechanically sound)

But what colour was the spark plug tip? It's the colour that gives us info, not just whether it's fouled with petrol/2T or worn out. It should be dark brown, ideally. Your carb overflowed from the side? As in from the overflow ports? I don't think it's supposed to do that at all unless there's something wrong with your carb float, throttle cable, etc. And I don't see what the rain season should have to do with it :giddy:

The only way to check if you have an air filter is to open your airbox to see. As for mech recommendations, check out the workshops listed in the ARC forum.

Hi, i just trying to offer my 2cents worth, i think water might have seeped into your bike thru your fuel tank, carb, airbox, block, all the way to the xhaust. So i suggest you, take out your fuel tank, wash it with petrol and let it dry under the sun, so as to remove all air bubbles, same goes for your carb and airbox.

To check if you got water in your airbox, just open up your fuel tank, unscrew the 4 screws securing the top cover of the airbox on each sides, and open it up, if there is a piece of foam insie your airbox, it means you most prob have a filther, take it out, feel if it's damp, if it's damp most prob water has seep in.

Always be prepared.

Ok people, for those of you interested in riding up to Sepang for the MotoGP, this is the plan.

I'm leaving EARLY on Sunday morning and coming back straight after the race on Sunday evening.

Meeting time: 4:30am

Meeting point: Somewhere in woodlands/marsiling or along BKE (going by causeway)

Moving out: 5am SHARP

Those interested leave your names here or PM me.

bro, i seriusly suggest u review the time ure gona leave for KL. Ive done a single ride up to KL on my own with my 1125 and 250. Trust me if u want to make it ontime for the race, 4 hours is too tight. U'd be going at least 160 but im pretty sure u wont drag all the way at that speed. I suggest we meet up on Thursday nite with all those going for the trip. This aint a joy ride up. U ride with the 125s, u gotta go slow.average 140km/hr. No joke. and please, no milo pipes if u wana go. call me 98226237.

We're planning to get there around 10 bro. Main reason that we're set for 5am is that someone can't make it any earlier, he finishes work around 4 or so.

But yeah a meetup on thursday night sounds like an idea.

1 more area which i think ya can check it out is the reed cage..

check tat the rubber hasn't cracked and air is seepin in.

For those of you travelling up to Sepang for the moto-gp please ride safe.

And for your friend who's working all night, finishing at 4am and then riding to Sepang I would seriously advise him to reconsider. You DO NOT want to be tired when doing that ride.

We set of last year at about 6am and travelled at 200km/h or more nearly all of the way (Z1000/X11/CBR929) and it's tiring and long even at that speed. We took a nice long break at Pagoh and then continued.

There are alot of bikes going up and some will be passing you at incredible speeds so you need to be fully alert all the way. At one point we were doing about 215 and we had three bikes (Busa, R1 and ZX10) blow past us like we weren't moving.

Take care,

Regards,

Chris

hey thanks for all the advice n tip guys...as this morning didnt rain.....i didnt experienced any problem at all riding home.....but ill try to do what u guys told me.....hmm but opening the oil tank....heh its a pain in the ass when trying to screw it back in..........i think since theres no problem riding without rain...then the problem must be...water getting into something in my bike.....but then again yesterday the mech poured water inside the bike..and it still can run...hmmmmmmm...maybe cuz he already fixed the carb???? and yeah after he changed the needle valve?? it still overflowed...then the two plastic thing like buoy like that.....the alignment was out and he aligned it properly.....

So, your mech did change the needle valve and fixed the floats? And then after fixing, your carb never overflow anymore?

I am not a mechanic, I might be wrong. So, please check with others!

An update for those those who want to ride up to sepang. Servoprax will be up there and he's going to be with the Aprilia agent in KL.

What we're planning is to meet up with them either in KL itself or outside SIC, and convoy with them in. I would prefer if we went in with them as they have parking space reserved inside the SIC compound itself (probably close to their display booth or something), and we won't have to park our bikes outside with everyone else. The downside to this, we're going to have to leave much earlier. They're moving out from KL around 845am, estimated to reach sepang about 10am.

I'm thinking 1-2am is a better time for us to leave singapore. It will give us time to take a slow ride up and take a good break for breakfast before meeting up with the KL people. I know this might exclude some people who can't make it, the only option is for you guys to play catchup or meet us at SIC.

Lemme know what you think and we'll discuss this at the meetup tomorrow night.

You might have to repair youcarb if that buoy thingy is spoil.. It keeps petrol fm overflowing if i'm not wrong..

Btw, I asked my bro abt Sin Boon.. He said only the Ah Han, is damn good.. the rest are idiots.. he told me that Ah Han is the shortest mech.. Ask him do your bike for you..

I still dont get why the mech pour water inside your bike  Btw, how are the prices at Sin Boon??

Anybody interested in a bagpack big enough for a fullface helmet which is also meant to store a fullface helmet in the first place? Cost 130. I've already talked to the distributor and we could arrange for a discount if there are 10 orders or more. Cost $130. Hop down to SportingMotors at Mah Pte Ltd to take a look at the bagpack. In my opinion, its a good buy. U may or may not like it but hey, its worth a look.
