I'm pretty ok except for a fractured collar bone. Haven't seen my bike yet but I think some work required. Still have to wait for TP verdict....sigh...

 

Lesson learnt 1 - don't be too adventurous on a bike that you ride once every 2 weeks.

Lesson 2 - the rightmost lane also can have cars breaking down and cars stopping there by their side to kaypoh.

 

Oh yes I wanna find out about chain and sprocket too. Sprocket don't need good quality one (preferably light), chain O ring DID or RK will do.

Go First Motor la.. Since you know them.. haha.. That day such a coincidence we met there liao.. Anyway, i'm changing mine at Ntrust.. $110.. including installation.. If you want, you can ask Lawrence wat brand he is using.. I not too sure also..

hey guys bought my aprilia juz now.1st hand 2003 model.otr $10600 this sat can collect.was thinkin of getting the 05 model but its beyond my budget.i asked him if theres any different between de 2 models.he said only the paintwork n tail signal light diff.got a free gift as well,agv full face helmet.now any tips on how to take care a brand new bike?? :cheer:

2. We would like to inform you that we do not allow the replacement of an engine (or engine cylinder) to a different type from the original engine. This is because an engine of different type from the original may affect the performance and exhaust emission characteristics of the vehicle. If the output power of the replacement engine exceeds the original design specification of the vehicle, the vehicle may pose a danger to the driver, as well as other road users. In addition, other vehicle components such as the brakes may not be able to cope with the extra gain in the engine power.

 

3. For your information, we allow the change of engine provided that the replacement engine is of the same type, make, model and has the same engine capacity as the original. The documents to be submitted for a replacement of engine are as follow:

 

a) A letter from the vehicle owner requesting for a replacement of engine

b) Invoice of the replacement engine

c) Certification from either the manufacturer or local vehicle agent that the replacement engine is for the same type, make and model and has the same engine capacity as the original engine

d) Change of Vehicle Particulars application form, which can be obtained from our customer service counter at the Vehicle Engineering Department (VED), 10 Sin Ming Drive. Alternatively, the application form can be downloaded from the Vehicle Inspection & Type Approval System (VITAS) website at https://vitas.lta.gov.sg

 

4. You can submit your application via 2 methods. If you are a registered user of VITAS, you can e-submit your application to us via the Internet. For more information about VITAS, please visit the above-mentioned website. Alternatively, he can submit the application in person to our customer service counter at VED. Please note that an application fee of $50 (excluding GST) is payable.

 

5. Before installation replacement engine to the vehicle, the vehicle owner is required to produce the engine to VED for inspection and stamping of the engine number, if necessary. Upon installation of the replacement engine, the vehicle must be produced for an inspection and pass the exhaust emission test at any of the LTA authorised inspection centres. The inspection centres will also charge the inspection fee.
