naked bike riders are automagically turned into yandao bikers. it is the naked bike reality distortion field at work.

Does it also work if I just take off my fairing? I don't mind if it'll make me yandao leh

you should try it one day. TWO this month had a review of the Tuono 1000R that joked that the very first tuono was born when a designer fell off an RSV and decided to rip off the fairing, and clip on tall bars, thereby saving his job. many reviews i read said as much that the earlier Tuonos were literally ripped off RSVs, with the same mad engine.

this 2006 version apparently has some bits which are custom designed just for the Tuono, and has been wind-tunnel tested etc.

what's your opposition to the Duc Monster anyway? :p

actually with your fairing in the state it is now, might as well get rid of it.. :D

you people are mad!! jus like those UK kids...

they are fixing fairings on their tuono, to make it like a rs125 and here ya guys are discussing of rippin the fairings off, to give it a tuono look

come to think of it.. my bike is naked now.... hehe

what's the use of a tankpad, actually? keep seeing it around..

not to protect the ahem sensitive parts of the human anatomy, but to prevent the tank from getting scratches?

i guess, both the reasons you mentioned??? Plus some of them look nice also.. IMO.. I got one for purely cosmetic reasons..

There are also some pads tat you put at the side of the tanks so your knee sliders dun scratch them when playing track..

How you find the above tankpad?

ok lar, but i am not a tankpad person. maybe i'm the purist, but then i usually like to leave the bikes as it is, don't want to be a moving billboard for brembo/shoei/dunlop/etc

after all, not 'lacer', so no need to put stickers to get the 'lacer' look.

and oh, did you know - the little known effect - every sticker you add adds 1km/h to your top speed. some extremely rare stickers add maybe like 5km/h...

fwahhhh

After I'm happy with my idle jet sizing - I'm still running a little lean. That's usable for the street, but the risk of seizure on the over-run (sudden transition from richness to leanness when going from sustained full throttle to closed throttle) is worrying. WEDA promised today to bring in my size 42 idle emulsion tube/diffuser tomorrow. I'll probably mate it with a size 70 idle jet.
