juz bought a replica rs125 recently havin problems startin up e engine previous owner suggest i go service e carb 1st c how problem is i stay in cck n he dunno any good workshop/mechanic nearby so any1 noes where i can find any good workshop/mechanic near my place? wad exactly shld i tell e mechanic? n if he suggests changing e carb how much shld i b lookin at?

Hey bro.. 1stly ah.. You need to change your mentality la... Dont be an idiot like me when i first got my bike.. Atleast you did 1 good thing by coming here and asking for advice...

 

You want a mech that stay near your hse ah? Why, why. why must be nearby then go? So meaning you will rather go to a lousy mech whose shop at CCK then go to a good mech who is in AMK?? Lose that mentality first la bro.. It's ###### stupid in my opinion..

 

You want, anyone here can recommend good mechs.. I think the nearest to your place might be raceworkz.. but prices also very nice, but near your place so i'm sure you dont mind paying more right? You want a list of workshops to go to, visit our A.R.C website.. The add is in my signature.. Got exact address, telephone no. etc.

 

And the problem with your carb.. 1stly do you know how to choke the engine? If you cant start the bike, tat is the 1st thing you shld try.. Again, pls visit our website to find out how to settle this kind of problems.. If you dont find a solution there, you can always ask us again.. The symptomsyou describe are very vague and could be the result of many other things.. But i believe it is the carb..

 

New carb, 34mm should cause abt 300plus? You using 28mm stock is it? Buy a second hand carb la.. 28mm shld be less than 100.. best thing to do is change carb bro...

 

If you really keen, i can bring you down to my workshop, First Motor and intro you to the mech there whom I think is good so far, and io trust him to do my bike.. In fact, i'm going down tmr morning actually.. You want to follow, call my mobile at 91820340..

Hey Sub..... my TP on 5Jan06, if i do manage to pass this one, might need u to help me test ride 2nd Rs at Mah...... Can ? Need a Aprilla rider to test ride a Aprilla n he shall know if it is good or bad....

Anyone wanna check weather b4 going out might want to call the Singapore weather information centre at 6542-7788. It is a computerised call u just follow the instructions. This is just a normal line n u wont be charged at 1900 rates. It is a normal telephone line. This might be handy at times.

No prob bro.. i can help you try.. will mah let or not? haha.. Anyway, riding styles are different also.. So if i think bad, u might feel it good also.. i recommend getting ppl like chin guan or edwin to come down to help you check out the condition of the bike!

exactly my point too; it is very hard to find a bike shop that will allow test rides of any kind, especially the 2b bikes, for just passed riders- the risk is too great, and if they get you to pay insurance and everything, it would be too great a turn off for too many people.
