actually i been wanting to sell but somehow my heart told me not to. and now even worst when the bike is in its best condition.

there's totally nothing wrong with my bike. if it were to breakdown, i think it would have done so after 4 years in my hands.

iv proven alot of funny theories wrong with this bike. so the next owner can be assured of a good machine to last him for quite a while.

i like the idea of passing on a good ride to another who knows how to apreciate this unique bike brand of ours.

250 ? well maybe... :) got to sell of this fine machinery first. if anyone cud help, i wud really appreciate it.

hmm...

the bike has :

1) modded original pipe

2) boyesen dual stage reed valves

3) 34mm carb with 34mm intake manifold( original is 28mm )

4) led signal lites

5) very good mileage 23-24 km per litre. full tank plus reserve can go 300km easily.

6) tuned to street race riding. good midrange.

7) new paintwork done by ah koon ( famous person known for his paintwork )

8) never accident before.

9) always serviced at ideal motors. never anywhere else.

10) new wheel bearings replaced every year for the past 3 years

11) changed piston set at 2 year point.

12) never had any engine seize or piston jam. can check block to verify.

13) clutch plate set changed 6 mths ago.

14) new speedo cable

15) the experience of riding an italian bred machine : priceless :)

u might not be able to find a similar bike like mine anywhere. furthermore, the insurance will be cheaper than if u got the newer rs125.

i invite u to see and feel da bike and offer me a good price rather then me saying anything more. u wont regret. many of my frens have bought $2500 plus aprilias only to find that they need to fix this and that later on. add on all this and u might find urself paying more than u shud.

if in the end u decide not to buy, its fine with me. :)

rachel : ya i'm fine.. still in 1 piece.. bike needs patching up though

Harada : if u manage to find pple who are scrapping must share share leh :cheeky:

servoprax : boyesen dual stage reed valves

Posted

if nt wrong, the reed valve is for yr bike to respond faster.that mean when u open throttle, the rpm will go up faster then orig reed valve

sigh...my first 'minor' accident today...in a multi-storey carpark...

went in...headed to the first slope...was in gear one...

before i even reach half the slope....my rear wheel locked...

skidded 180deg.......imagine one moment i facing up the slope...next moment i facing down....lowered the bike down slowly...but suffered abrasions on my leg...

=( rolled my bike down...went to check the slope....

yeah it rained earlier...but it wasn't wet...

the whole DAMN slope was OILY!!!

i could actually slide down the slope...wearing my street soccer shoes....

nothing to say man........bike no prob....but leg damn pain...:weep:

the idea of fitting an arrow pipe is not only for the power but for the looks as well.

previously when i fitted it i was caught twice each time fine $500 but i really like the looks of the pipe. the stock pipe is a disgrace to the bike :thumb:

I need to :

1) clean my valve

2) change my temp sensor

3) change brake pads

4) whatever other servicing

5) find out why both my fork AND rear shock are making squeaking noises

6) meet up with Aprilians to learn more

When is the Ideal trip? Please keep me in the loop.

Thanks eyz and bktan.

Yeah... Sounds like squealing pigs to the slaughter. Irritates the hell outta me when I hit the rear brakes.

I havent checked my brake pads, but i'm pretty sure to find a piece of DIAMOND stuck in it.

Because my disc brake has actually a scratch, no its a DEEP CUT a nice, full circle around it.

Dang.

if nt wrong,is yr uneven disc that cause those sound when u hit the brake

sorry eyz..just go down for a quick check buey tahan liao..

mech said my sprockets and chain needs to be changed. the stock chain, the regina one, is a heavy duty chain not an O-ring one. Therefore its lousy and wears off very fast. The chain now is currently not uniform liao, some places tight some places loose. He readjusted the chain and say i shld change it on the next service, and when u change the chain, the sprockets shld be changed as well.

all in all the 2 sprockets and chain will cost me ard $290 wht u guys think?

lacrimosae,

I think I agree with kawa about the uneven wear. However, the brake pads being worn can cause deep cuts on your disc brake. Basically brake pads are rubber pieces mounted onto metal pieces so it could be the metal pieces that scratch your disc brake. You might wish to skim the brake discs if it keeps on causing uneven wear.

Cheers!
