Which is why you should charge money to do for people. You might as well get part of the business all the mototiams are getting. Some more you can charge cheaper and do faster and more carefully.

 

Eh, I'm not saying you should start charging for DIYs What I'm saying is that you should go explicitly into freelance repair work. After all, you used to be in the mototiam business

13.8k machine price? waa... a gem for the absolute aprilia fanatic... after adding in insurance, rd tax, new vehicle stuff fees, then conclude the 5% gst, and add in the interest incurred for the hire purchase, think most prob cost more than a new super4 spec3 liao, considering a new spec 3 costs 12.8k machine price(my friend's bike).

but well, italian passion always overcomes money issues ma haha....

hmm i might be wrong but i thought comprehensive aka 1st party insurance is compulsary for new bikes bought under hire purchase from bike shops? if so, dat sum of money adding to the total cost's a killer liao

Jonathan, the price Dylan gave me is inclusive of road tax and all that de leii .. Should be likdat ma, if not he wun tell me my downpayment is $1400 liaox wad since its 10%. Or am i wrong ??

guys heard news frm my driving fren tt he went jb to find parts for his car den he managed to saw an aprilia block n piston frm the scrapyard i tink big bored to 333 cc duno its 125 or 250 coz he is a bike idiot wad he told me was he was oni told its an aprilia block n piston n he saw the tacho which reads up till 16krpm wif digital displays.. shrugs.. my guess is its for the rs 250.. but if its for the rs 250 isnt 333 x 2 = 666? omg... walterwolf eater..

If it's true, it's probably a RS250 block big-bored to a total of 333cc (166.5cc x 2). There are tuners in the US, among other places, who offer such kits/conversions.

tt's y im still puzzled coz he didnt get to see the bike all he saw was 1 block, 1 piston n the tacho.. meaning 1 block n tt 1 piston is already 333cc when i told him 250 has 2 blocks 2 piston he sae den maybe the person din show him another 1 so its defnitely not a 250 cc - 333 cc if not i wouldnt even b posting here as the leap isnt tt great.. so wad puzzles me is whether it belongs to a 125 or a 250 but nonetheless whichever it belongs to it sure is gona drink hell lot of petrol

how can the block be 333cc? standard piston size is 56mm double the size would cover the transfer ports already... there might not even have enough space for the water jacket. biggest is only the 316 big bore conversion which is 316 divided by 2 cos of v twin engine.

beta get all the details bro... u wun wan to get caught in some surprise add ons later ma... the downpayment isn't everything too ma... how much is the total cost of the bike, including hire purchase interest & 5% gst adding to the otr price in total? i presume u took a 5yr loan? of how many % interest per annum? monthly installment how much? most prob u will be made to take the comprehensive insurance(1st party)coverage for new bikes lor... at juz 1.3k? i doubt it will be dat cheap... considering ur age+riding experience+brand new bike.

never assume bro.... always ask when in doubt & keep asking till u got wad the terms on papers mean! ask to confirm if the final price they quote u is the nett price. or if there's any other hidden additional costs.

a 5% gst on a $10k bike came up to $500 liao lor... dun play play. or get some aprilia bros to accompany u down and get the terms clear lor.

Its not just a question of mechanics but of logic. I doubt his friend actually measured the volume by himself. Probably it was the scrapyard uncle who said its 333cc? Based on what form of measurement, thumb and finger rule/eye micrometer (look at it and agar agar)/precision instruments?

 

No room for water jacket? Perhaps its air-cooled?
