Why use a magnetic plug?

- Magnetic drain plugs attract and hold ferrous metal particles that circulate through your lubrication or hydraulic system.

 

The particles may be a result of the following conditions:

- The constant flaking effect of normal wear of moving parts

- Particles not removed by flushing after boring or machining

- Chipping due to sub surface casting flaws

- Component breakdown caused by stress usage

 

Usually it is a combination of factors that account for the presence of these particles that are abrasive and will cause excessive wear unless they are removed

 

Magnetic plugs have been used since the 1930's as an inexpensive yet effective solution for removing damaging ferrous particles. They are also good wear indicators as an increase of material collected on your magnetic plug may be an early indication of a problem

 

Magnetic Oil Drain Plugs replace your rounded off OEM drain plug and are cheap insurance. Your oil filter can't catch everything and does not! The smallest particles are metal particles and they can destroy your engine very quickly! Since the oil in the sump runs through the oil pump before it hits the filter (if it has one), the filter can't really protect the pump. Stop engine damage before it can begin!

Yes, washer included. What bike are you riding? We currently only have those for Honda CB400 Super 4.

Sorry, the magnetic drain nut is only suitable for Super 4 and those bikes using similar drain plug as super 4.

We will need to check on your drain plug during oil change. If your drain plug is similar to Super 4's, then it can will fit.

Sorry, this drain plug might not be suitable for FZ1. We can only confirm it during engine oil change.
