There is more air than fuel going into the engine. The bike is running lean.

You need to upsize the pilot and main jets.

Running lean may result in higher temperatures which can cause overheating and at worst.. warped cylinder heads or blown gaskets.

Fuel / air mixture needs to be maintained at a proper ratio for the engine to operate efficiently. So the engineers at the factory have calculated what size of carb and what size of jettings to be used to maintain this correct ratio. Even the size of the airbox and its opening is calculated into the formula to match the bore and stroke of the engine.

I'm also riding x1. I think it backfire cos of the exhaust. At the front part where it connects to your engine usually the screw will break and this will cause it to backfire. You just go shop burn our the screw and change new one and make sure the front part both screws are tightened i guarantee you wun backfire anymore.

Hi Bro..

I used to have same problem on Wave125 when i change to Honda NSR carbs and took off my airbox back then.. like the oters say.. bike was very lean and backfire very common..

Ask ur mech to regulate ur air/fuel ratio. if it does not improve, at least the backfire wont be so 'loud'.. i realise the backfire easy come if i close throttle fast after over-rev.. try to see if ur bike improve if u go easy abit on ur throttle.. All the best! :thumb:
