Hi,

Just wondering what is covered during the course? And how much would it cost? Appreciate any replies. Thanks.

driving position, driving ethics, driving lines, braking tech, overtaking something like these. Mostly basic safety techniques.

You're checking with local driving centres or those from PG/Sepang?

FYI quality of instructor is impt.

i had no idea there were defensive driving courses in PG/Sepang.

Would we even be able to choose instructors?

if you're organising as a private club then yes. If local driving centres: Not really.

PG/Sepang they're better known as advance driving course, some basics like "how to activate your ABS (if you have any)", learning handbraking.

For PG you can contact Syed if he wanna conduct it (they conduct drift clinic too).

Sepang you can try Racecraft.

Afterall is not cheap for attending such course but you will have a better understanding of different techniques can be applied. FYI please dun use it as a stunt driving on streets or to impress your friends at carpark

Check with BMW. I heard is $700 held in PG. Not sure whether it is for bmw owners only or not. The other would be Subaru & Mitsubitshi but can be rather costly.

Yeah, traffic school online courses are great actually. I had taken it 3 different times now. The first was the actual class where I had to take a whole day from work to take it, then if I did not pass, I would have to re-take it again, wasting another day. Luckily I was able to pass. The other 2 was online and it took the same amount of hours (6 hours required) but I can take it at my leisure. So, I can take it a few lessons here and there and be done with it before the due date that is assigned by the court. You have to pay attention to get the questions answered and you must take the full 6 hours that is required. The lessons would not advance until the required time is spent. Overall is it great. Good Luck.

err different car, different driving style... basic like heel toe, j turn etc maybe still can absorb from the web, but harder ones is best to go to these courses and use their car to play with before u start breaking ur torsion arm or other parts

But hor... WTH do we need these for in our unfriendly road! we dun need to do a stunt into parellel parking! we'll end up in stomp or somewhere if we do these :cheeky:

i get the picture. I saw Hummer or those SUV agents do organise off-road driving course to teach consumers how to make use of their off-roads traction features, like go up a 60 deg gradient slope or something, bumpy course, getting out of stuck mud also. These course also go for off-roaders. I think M'sia shld have rite?
