Why is the costs of changing the engine oil of my PGO TR3 so much higher than that of my old motorcycle? It used to cost me only $10 for my m/cycle, now I think it costs me $30+ for my 3 wheel scooter....

Bro, ur m/cycle uses about 1L of engine oil for the engine cylinder or gearbox. TR3-150 use 0.8L of engine oil & about 0.5L of gear oil for the rear gearbox, & gearbox oil is thicker & cost more. Fully syn. E.O. should cost about $20+, gear oil should cost about $10+.

Uncle raden, can fix must weld. But performance will suffer. Been there done that.

hmm ok...thanks for the answer bro...But i wanna know what is the causes and symptoms that can affect the performance? Is it the tuning setting? Or it is cause by other mechanism problem. For me i really like the exhaust....Very nice lah bro.

You ever tried to fix it at your bike previously or u get the information from other mechanic or friend?

Found the answer. 1 is min, 10 is max. engine must warm up 2-3 min before checking. current level is good.

First hand experience. Loss of torque at lower rpms below 6k. This is due to lack of back pressure cos of the straight through nature of the aftermarket pipe.

You can mitigate the problem by using aftermarket cvt system. This is what they say in the taiwanese forums with regards to using a straight thru exhaust. Use a aftermarket front pulley, sliders and a aftermarket clutch and clutch spring. Examples of brands like DR. PULLEY or NCY.

Then you tune the cvt system for more lower end torque to negate/balance out the ill effects from using the straight thru exhaust.

(Uncle raden i know sometimes i sound very unfriendly and nasty when you call or sms me to ask me questions. I apologise for that. It just seems that you usually call at the wrong times like when im in a meeting or taking an afternoon nap, unfortunately. Next time just ask me questions thru the forum and i'll answer you when im free ok? Thanks.)

Yo, my throttle got stuck and cannot return freely back to idling rpm. It was stuck at 3.5k rpm. How to fix it?

Is the throttle physically stuck or not? If yes trace cable and find the point that is making it stick.

If not, and the rpms dont come down despite closing the throttle, check vacuum hose that they are not unplugged or check for air leaks.

thanks ben.

i will be taking out underseat to take a look later tonight.

IF i tried to close the throttle with force and the throttle is able to turn (closing direction) without affecting cable, as in i twist too much. anyway to fix it or something has been damaged permanently?

any chance to come down yishun to fix with coffee money?
