many of us are also using the MHR... drop, scratch, lost, etc., not so painful.

i've owned OF505, OF509 & OF523... 505 has the best ventilation, i'm using it for daily riding and so is uncle sam. heard that it is modeled after the arai ram 3 design... garment cutting costs on uncle sam's head so that they can waste it elsewhere

if willing to invest, go for the real thing... arai ram 3 :thumb:

do note that ventilation will be bad regardless once we hide behind the windshield. the helmet's vents need to catch wind before any airflow can occur. but when that happens, we will be complaining about wind noise... no end leh

I never see you doing? You know how to do ah...? Maybe you can show me next time.

Perhaps you never read my post clearly, I am asking if anyone has done fuel injector cleaning. If you are not still clear then maybe i should I phrase it this way: Anyone has attempted or tried cleaning the fuel injector? Any improvement after fuel efficiency after cleaning?

Hi bros,

I just bought a sw400, but the tires look like dry and cracked and I thought it'd be a good idea to change them.

Where can I get the tires changed under good hands and reasonable cost? The last thing I want is to have some inexperienced guy knocking here and there

I searched the thread and saw that motoworld is doing some diablo tires for ~$150. Are they still doing sw400s?

And is there any shop that can do rear wheel balancing already?

Thanks!

there're many ways to clean it.

some will

  1. pour injector cleaner into fuel tank to clean it
  2. pump Shell V-power for a few tanks
  3. open up the injectors to clean it (time consuming unless timing chain or tensioner due for replacement)

dun think anyone here have done this. only 1 person i can think of that might have done this. Scoob?

i've done 1 & 2 but not 3. unless your bike has been collecting web for quite a few years and you think stubborn clots may exist, 3 may not be necessary (IMHO).

commonly used injector cleaners available in sinkapor are stuffs like the STP injector cleaners, FP60, etc. i've used FP60 as it is easy to use and affordable (got the 260ml bottle from motoworld for $8.50); still using it to "maintain" my fuel system as my bike is grossly underutilised.

running on fuel with "cleaning agents" (e.g. Shell V-Power, Caltex Techron Platinum) can do the trick as well, especially when i bring scoob out to NS for some soot blowing runs. personally, i'ld prefer to use Caltex Techron Platinum for cleaning runs

I had done the rear wheel balancing when I changed my set of rubbers early part of this year. It did eliminate some vibrations but not all as there are other parts involved in the drivetrain (engine, variator, clutch, clutch bell, gears, etc).

done 1 using STP Fuel Injector Cleaner at around 10k km. No effect then as maybe stiill relatively low mileage. imo, the best method is to ride along NSHW to Malacca and back, preferably with the cleaner or fuel with cleaning agents. Can clean more than just the injectors.

Can get Pirelli Diablo at Motoworld or Kallang Cycle (Ah Choong). Price should be around $170++.

Both shops no have rear wheel balancing, only the front.

I believe most owners neber balance the rear wheel.

Muahaha. Fusionjaz...

Whatever bigcow said, just imagine him smiling and typing it.

Anyway, my 2 cents (from my mech):

1. Injector no need service. Actaully most place cannot do it. Must go Racewerks (I think) where they have the equipment to check injector fuel flow.

Normally like all others here, just add some injector cleaner will do.

2. Throttle bodies however, should be cleaned around mileage 100k. That's what was advised but it is still up to individual.

Basically SW is quite foolproof. No need much work to the engine & transmission.

Only some cosmetic changes to suspension or exhaust needed.
