hey Atlantic 200

i found the 35mm SLR equivalent of the Nikon P90's 24X optical zoom... according to the specs listed, its equivalent to 26mm~624mm on a 35mm standard SLR lens.

hi guys,

My scooter recently rides like a horse from o-20km/hr range , the power output is inconsistent and I can feel the scooter is jerking. It usually happens after 10 mins of ridding...

is that the symptom of clutch slippage ??

or could that be other problem like torque spring tension , roller weight ect?? I just replaced my roller, belt & clips 7k km ago .

thanks for reading =)

Posted

ah... your problem might be a clutch or bearing issue.

You will hear your clutch spinning before moving off with a tug.

Best is to opening up the transmission and let the mech check.

I had similiar problems, changed clutch, clutch bell and ball bearings.

Next time tell people what bike la haha if not people will assume its silverwing.

Posted

thanks Elton, wah so many things to change *sigh*

got to bring it to see my mech liao .... actually for my bike , the tug sound came while the scooter is moving at low speed and i

can feel something is knocking in the transmission =((((

get swt400, slight more affordable cos the models BS brought in all usually no ABS. GT400 is by mah mostly i guess so abs model slightly more ex.

Silverwing can last very long. And with the storage, i dun think any bike can fight hahaha

Go KC good la, at least won't anyhow kana chop haha.

Those who pursue so call "convenience" are usually Roberto Carroto

GT400 is higher in FC. i'm more interested in the booster than the ABS.

if juz in term of storage, burgman still can fight la. :cheeky:

IMHO, GPS is quite distractive & thus may cause danger in 'out of vision' when looking at the GPS.

i prefer looking at the street directory b4 moving off. most impt issue for me is.... i dun know how to see GPS.

i tink installing GPS wun void the wty as its only an external device. maybe

GPS is a good guidance tool to have, especially when touring where every landmark is alien :p

like firenance said, the toy could become a hazard if rider looks at it more than he should and looses attention for the road. but we're supposed to look at it for navigation information and driving/riding instructions (e.g. where's the destination, POIs, where/how far ahead to turn, etc.) and NOT look at it like every few seconds.

using a GPS safely can be learnt easily... its actually like using an electronic street directory PLUS a "computer" friend to guide you along the passage :thumb:

GPS don't need to find pp to install, just buy the GPS unit and mount kit, DIY (very easy) and whoala.

no impact on warranty, unless you modify parts of the bike to mount the GPS :p

which GPS to buy... depends on your budget and whether you want a waterproof unit.

waterproof units (e.g. nuvi 500/550, zumo 550/660, etc) are more convenient for bike use as they can be used in wet weather (note that you won't see much in heavy rain); but costs a lot more.

non-waterproof units (for cars) are very much cheaper, lots of makes/models to choose from, most have more powerful processors and bigger screens are available; but you can't expose them to rain.

if you want the waterproof type, JK is selling the nuvi 500 for a reasonable price; try asking him if the package deal for GPS+RAM mount is still available.

http://www.jkcommercial.com.sg/

but of course, it costs less if you buy from US directly, e.g. buy from amazon then ship back by vPOST; can find a few fellas share the shipment.

if you want the non-waterproof type, SITEX 2010 is just next week 25~28 Nov and there'll usually be lots of choices available.

i'll may be there to check out some 5" units...
