IMO, it may be better to get a 2nd hand garmin 255W which you can use MFM which is probably the best for "tri-nation" road trips. alternatively, can get the holux sets which run papago/galactio software and using SLA & MFM maps. buying something totally unknown is too much a risk.

$120? i got a brand new local guaranteed holux 4.3" at the recent SITEX for only $99

 

 

Holux don't run on PPG s/w anymore, the $99 one is with pirated PPG X3.

wah sei!!! so 光明正大 sell pirated stuffs also can arh... openly advertised and sell at SITEX woh. got balls but really stupid if true, cos competitors will likely tip off either the organiser or PPG proprietary owners; evidence costs only $99

EG used to have license to sell PPG on holux sets but after they switch to Galactio, PPG licencing stopped and thus should be be selling PPG sets anymore. they lodged a complaint.

the PPG X3 units sold were old stocks with licenses already paid for, so it is definitely not illegal. they have already clarified with Maction Technologies (taiwan owner of PPG) and cleared the issue. to prevent further confusion, Maction actually bought back all the remaining licenses from EG and thus the sale of $99 sets stopped. those already sold are not affected, i.e. licensed units.

We understand your purpose is to clean your RMA units and stock, but as our position, it's actually damage our S/W, as you are selling it with very low price.

For the stock X3 S/W that you have right now, we proposed that Maction buy back these stock, as we don't want to cause any more confusion on the market.

 

btw, the PPG X3 seems working well... my bro went KL & back with it without any problem. so far so good.

feeling is like buying a pc with Win XP when everyone else is using Win 7... 2 generations behind time but hey! its only $99 nia and running legally

Today got sad news for me.

Just went review at CGH for my left knee. Confirmed:

1. Complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament. *This one keeps the knee securefrom forward and backward movement.

2. Partial tear of the lateral collateral ligament. * This one keeps the knee secure from the sides.

3. Cartilage defect noted with underlinying subchondral bone changes. *This one wear and tear after years of kicking people's groin.

 

If left as it is, knee will be wobbly forever with sudden pain every now and then.

If go surgery, then will affect movement for up to 6-9 months.

 

Will consult camp MO but most likely will try schedule surgery after my precious Songkran 2011. Rest for 6 months and then go Chiang Mai. hehe.
