the kopi at original outlet indeed tasted different from the franchise and the widely available 3-in-1. my taste buds seems to say there's a tint of cocoa (milo?) added to the kopi... sounds like mocha kopi malaysian style :lol:

Bike is going through a major corrective maintenance which is going to cost a bomb. In order to reduce the risk pre-mature wear and tear to the rear transmission I suggest all Swing Bros to follow maintenance manual to use 10w40 4T EO for the rear transmission system.

Pls refer to the following tech thread

Rear transmission maintenance

quick link is post #65

just a personal opinion... use of gear oil may be ok for local riding but probably not for touring where the gears are subject to higher stress and wear due to prolonged running in high revolutions. just how often do we ride hundreds of km at >6k rpm "continuously" in singapore? probably never cos its only some 47+km from 2nd link checkpoint to changi airport terminal 1 via AYE-ECP :lol:

why did honda specify the use of 10w40 motor oil instead of gear oil (which some claimed is more suitable)? their engineers made a mistake??

why not to follow the manual???

hmmm...

as usual, there're lots of different theories, opinions and preferences.

some riders will disagree and prefer to use gear oil... to each their own bah :p

saw a white Kymco Myroad 700i touring scooter with fusionjaz at Ubi yesterday...

this big fella boasts impressive features but the big question is still the ultimate performance and reliability factors.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2794/4030549985_dd2b8e0932_o.jpg

see attached for a comparison by Bikez... SW still better in many areas, especially "Accident Risk" :p

* 700cc

* 4 stroke parallel twin EFI engine (same as SW)

* CVT

* top speed in excess of 170km/h

* 268kg (heavier than SW)

* anti-theft system

* tire pressure monitoring system (LCD screen shows tyres' pressure)

* electronic dampening system (electronically adjust shocks to 3 levels of stiffness)

* 2 front & 1 rear disc brakes both with ABS

* 3 headlamps using H4, 2

* LED signal and tail lamps

boss said bike should be around 17+k but they'll bring in on order basis.

my first reaction was... wah lau, so expensive might as well buy SW :lol:

another observation... if riding SW is like riding a horse, riding this is gonna be like riding a bull cos legs gotta open wider due to its fat body. not my type :cool:

The double front disc brake is cool.... most of the 400cc or above scooter like Yamaha Majesty, Suzuki Burgman, SYM Maxsym, TMAX, Kymco Myroad, etc, all are running double front disc brake liao, just wonder why Honda new SWT or GT still running single front disc?? What a waste....
