tail lamp... nice and bright, cheaper alternative to using the expensive LED bulbs.

i may consider doing also but will need to consider how to do replacement if some LED kenna burnt. i.e. fabricate something like a socket to hold the PCB instead of gluing it in place.

 

hazard lights... noticed that switch is "exposed", any measures against itchy hands that might switch it on when you're not around (e.g. throughout the whole night)?

 

btw, how many litres of coolant did u use/fill in altogether?

Ya... tat one is voltmeter light.... I checked with Tachnicolour, he can start doing the backlight for FJS model now, but the only problem is have to find bikeshop to take out the meter... Unless you know to remove urself lor.....

I like the brightness brake light too.... juz a question... when we go inspection, if the inspector c is LED light, will let u pass through bo?

taking out the meter is quite straight forward, only tedious.

imo, the amber light is better for night riding cos bright whites are glaring and impairs our night vision. same reason why CICs and ships' bridges don't use white (using non-glaring reds) when in operations.

 

replacing incandescent bulbs with LED for rear/brake lights should not be a problem, as long as still red and 2-tone illum works. 应该没问题

Do we need to remove the whole front fairing when taking out meter? Hmm... cos the amber look dim now.... white is not my preference, i like to modify to light blue....

The board i juz use 3m sided tape. Tested the led for my car 1yr liao so far so gd. Exposed switch lan lan must cover but im gonna tint my windscreen and the button can hardly notice. Hopefully. Else juz cover bike. Coolant duno how much i fill but as long to the brim of the radiator cap and reservoir to max ok liao. Where got mechanic check how many litres filled. Hahaha but luckily previous owner really take care of my bike. Mostly all serviced.

Yeah installed the voltmeter taken frm my previous bike.

 

Titaniclexus, tachnicolour does it but i duno how much. Issue is a hassle to take out thats why he request to get mechanic to strip the farrings. Mine first guinea pig meter for silverwing hahaha $50!

Inspection try my luck lar hahaha coz normally the inspector will juz use right hand brake, left hand inch out to see if brake lights up. Else juz pay shop kopi money do inspection. But my previous bike on race farring didnt have any problems wif using the drz led tail light.

 

Scooby the meter isnt that glaring as u tot. Due to aperture of my dslr camera. It looks exactly same as gsxr k7/8 1000 speedo. The oem ones are dim orange, this led is brightness contribute to sharpness of speedo display. Best mod for my silerwing. I loike!!

i went to this motortiam (duwan to mention name) to change coolant 2 years back, mech filled in 3 bottles of 500ml premixed coolant for me and tell me ho say liow. i checked coolant level and indeed level is showing "normal level". rode back slowly with an eye on the temp gauge and called for help. HelmetBOX! came to my rescue, re-changed the coolant and managed to put in about 2.8L of coolant this time.

if didn't take note how much coolant the mech put in, that time really ho say liow

anyway, tachnicolor only give special rate for first bike of each model that go to him, cos he's really interested in exploring different bikes circuit stuff. But even if you have to pay normal fees, its still worth it. He's very meticulous and definitely a very nice guy.

wah u really sway lei bro scooby. so far no issue for my bikes and car except recently jan i service my dads st1100 his coolant radiator empty...hahaha but coolant reservoir still got water... 1 year nevre service..either the hose is block or the radiator pressure valve faulty.

 

normally the air lock is easy to bleed frm the radiator. juz whack the throttle and bubble will appear. till it become stationary at the brim its gd to go.
