i like the idea of arriving earlier than the whole pack... but woah! set off 1.5 hrs earlier but arrive hatyai 4 hrs earlier... planning to ride at >130 kph?

if its only the 5 scoots (john, kelvin, you, me, maybe robinowong), guess we can save quite some time from waiting for the whos-n-whos. as for scarab... heh heh... dun think he can tahan our speed :D

yo HelmetBOX! ... wanna move off earlier as per david's plan?

dun look down at Scarab. ever since i gave him my sports windshield, he can tour 160km/hr constantly to KL. i can't even do that lo...

just in case someone is interested to change a battery...

was recommended by a workshop mech to buy battery from BS parts centre directly to enjoy 1 year warranty; thus called to check it out....

BS quoted $210 nett (unlike spare parts with 25% discounts, no discount for batteries), no warranty period given and no immediate stock (need to order in advance).

also checked with FJT & ES, best prices for Yuasa YTZ12-S and YTZ14-S (same size) are $145 & $155 respectively, those with honda logo will cost a lot more; forgot to ask about warranty.

Ahh... not so easy to learn and set to the optimum.

I realised that the Honda manual says 'Air Screw', which means it's different from mixture screw:

1. Air screw - turn out (anti-clockwise) = lean mixture.

2. Mixture screw - turn out (anti-clockwise) = rich mixture.

Does this mean the air screws as mentioned in the manual refer to the 2 screws nearer the front of bike? If so, then where are the mixture screws?

OLD NO GO, NEW NO COME.

There are vacuum 2 ports in front and 2 ports at the rear.

There are 3 screws only: 1 idling screw and 2 air screws.

The 2 air screws works like mixture screw but in opposite ways to increase or decrease fuel/air ratio.

To make the mixture richer, air screw should turn in (clockwise) where as mixture screw turns out (anti-clockwise).

Cannot tahan our 'slowness' lah. haha.

Me travelling at 120km/h only. Got auto power cut from the wrist (someone on a ST also got this problem)...

Breaks are only about 10-15mins unless got makan then slightly longer. Too long will get sleepy.

10 hrs +/- should be ok to reach at least Bukit Kayu Hitam.

*Previously, managed to reach Penang at a leisurely pace with lots of traffic jams in 9hrs (and Penang is only 140km away).

Anyway, contemplating either 12 midnite (go eat supper together 1st) or 3am depending on majority preference. Hmm... must get my 'guide' Mr John to commit.

in case you're looking for a voltmeter and don't mind paying a little more ($50, MO for the much bigger dynamix is $37) for the miniature size... only issue, seller said its splash ok but not waterproof

2.5cm (length) x 1cm (height) x 3cm (depth)

mini digital voltmeter for sale

2.5cm x 1cm is really very small, think can fit the left side vents just above the lockable compartment; need to cut a small piece if want to squeeze it inside :p

alternatively, get the Mega Raizin with built in voltmeter... but can't read while riding lor :(
