Hi guys, just owned a SilverWing 400, bought second hand. From past threads, can see that AC motor is the preferred workshop u guys go for servicing. Looks like I will drop by there to send for servicing. Any idea how much it will cost for normal servicing. This is my first scooter fyi... Also need to respray the paintwork of the whole bike. Any recommendation which shop provides good quality paint job? Thanks guys..

 

Most of our SW riders are go to AC motor included me, but you can try other as well. Price wise you can referred SW technical corner, there are many useful information posted by our expert n senior SW rider. Ah choong himself did not do bike respray services...... but is good to look for him for dismantle services and send to those respray shop you wanted. I did mine at replicated respray at Kallang Industries, the shop is juz behind future scootering. You can look for ah koon, contact number 9730 6370. Overall paint work i am quite satisfy, his skill is good and waiting time less than 1 week. Two thing u have to take note, he did not use oven and dismantle job is pass to other. I experienced my voltmeter kena stolen... even though i got a compensation for new one but feel that not safe to put your bike there....

Welcome to w group bro! Most of us r at Cameron now, n will only b back next weekend.

Anyway, for spraying u can go to any bikeshop to request them to send for u. Theres a few more reputable shops like Yeow's motor, Ong & Sons, Replica. Personally i like yeow the most.

 

Like wat titanic said, most spray shop dont dismantle for u, n i wun trust them for swing. Scooter got alot of snap on parts, so better let bikeshop strip for u, n ask them to send to ur preferred paint shop.

Diff rider n diff riding styles will clock diff number of km for full tank. My full tank normally only clock 320km, cos most of the time i am riding with my gf. If ride alone maybe can be more....

dats normal, as in 20km/L. some can go beyond 350km/h.

Almost midnight and I'm still awake exploring the streets.

Might just go for a drink at the pub...

 

Tmr morning will try Songkran at Penang. 1st time celebrating it here so don't know how it works.

 

Then will go for a massage at my usual spa.

Old cousin not around but hope got nice nice new ones. My butt needs to be pampered after all the long rides.

4.28pm.

 

Finished my body massage and idling around till meeting time at 6pm.

The rest of the guys went for a 3.30pm movie at a shopping mall near the hotel.

Later wanted to try the biggest shopping centre in Penang called Queensbay Mall. Its touted to be twice as big as Gurney Plaza.

 

Anyway, my headlight failed. Checked the bulb and fuse, not the problem.

Suspected the connection in the switch cos there's no power to the low beam but the high beam is ok.

Lucky all travels are in daylight so no worries.

 

Tomorrow will head to Hatyai for belated Songkran.

Leaving Penang at 8.30am and expected clearance of custom by 11am.

Then head for Giant Luang Pho statue, lunch and then the hill top 3x temples.

Pink Hotel by 3pm latest.

Then Sushi, swensen, sharkfins and birds nest. Eat, eat and eat!!

I need help for my sw.

I just bought brake led light 7443. The problem is when i fix it it wont light up till i press the brake. Any idea why this happen?

Also how to adjust Air-Fuel Mixture?.
