Anyone can recommend nice and cheap mirrors?? my blind spot mirror dropped and i made a mess trying to scrape off the double side tape.

 

Cheap and nice? haha... cannot be lah... Most of the SWingers (included me) will still recommended original mirror which is the best. You can try to call the Honda retailer shop like FJT or Ever success to check whether got ready stock bo? But I don't know the price? If you wanna look for after market and got spare $$$, can go to Motorworld Lavender branch to check it out those nice n good one, but easily cost more than S$100 a pair or a piece.

 

If really wanna cheap n nice look, then Koso lor, but tell you upfront, vibration like hell....

yup... the greatest enemy of LED is heat.

 

i didn't keep track how soon it fails but my previous 5050 pair from SLT lasted about 2 years... kow poon liow.

 

current pair was up since Sep 2010, still very bright... those who went Penang with us in Apr have no problem spotting the "TRON" bike from far at night

 

Thanks again.... then i can no need worry too much about the heating..... put the LED i bought earlier and fix it, will use the 3M tape you recommended as well. Cheers!

I also saw used SW at Looi's recently. Can call first to be safe.

juz add on, mine doing the same as chairman's method & material. only diff is we bought our LED at diff place. mine works well too, 6 mths till now le.

for better hold, suggest you cut the tape into smaller pieces instead of 1 long strip.

it is also easier to replace the "end piece" as the ends sometimes come off due to contaminations from bike wash and friction from sponges.

looi's motor left with blue colour SW.. but the condition of the right front side facing you is not that really good.. i got mine SW silver colour from there..

just wondering is the GT model cheaper? checked with B***prod, 15k all in w/o insurance & I.U, compared to avg 17k at other bike shop for swt400 also w/o insurance.

FBD doesn't necessary mean the bike is 2+ years old cos prev owner might have retained original registration nos.

e.g. if i sell my bike and retain the nos, the bike's nos become FBF unless new owner uses his own nos.

suggest you find out:

* year of manufacture

* year of initial registration

* original color

* how many owners

* can try asking for accident history but dun think shop will tell u honestly

 

suppose bike really clocked 73+k over near 3 yrs, it is likely a "tourer" and/or an "islander".

e.g. i travel from one side of Sg to another for work, clocking an average of 400+km per week. so 3 yrs adds up to about 63k kms (3 yrs x 52 weeks x 400km). plus a few trips up to boleh and tong-yum land, 73+k kms is not astronomical

 

we couldn't comment whether $4.8k is a good price cos very much will depend on bike's condition and the way it is used or abused.

e.g. i believe SW9000's bike could still be in good condition at 70+k kms knowing his riding style/pattern and how well he takes care of his SW (assume no accident all the way). dare not be as optimistic for cases whose owners have only "2 throttle modes", open and close

anyway i tot the owner retain No. plat, bikeshop actually told me was 2 yrs old [i don belive 2 yrs can go over 70k]. that why i have check the at LTA site and comfirm is a 2yrs 11mths bike.

 

waiting for my money to come in end of the mth. hope the bike still there as its hiding at one corner. hope no one see it. LOL
