do you guys have problem with wind buffeting during higher speeds (>80kmh)? It feels like my head is being slapped left and right in rapid succession :(

givi airflow windshield is your solution. but 80km/hr is a little too exaggerating.. mine only starts to experience around 130km/hr and above too. Same as @SW9000

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!

How tall are you?

Or are you using the sports windshield?

Arboh must be kena cross wind near Sheares Bridge?

Hmm.. only 1.7+m with stock windshield... Ok maybe what I experienced is "normal"... Find one day in a land elsewhere I try 130km/h LOL!

Thx guys...

btw, don't turn/tilt your head too much and stare at girls' longkang in a car beside you... while riding.

Nose bleeding and HOM meter adjustment may delay reaction for sudden braking.

Need any special charging circuitry? Lithium is 3.8v per cell. 3 cells is 11.4v and 4 cells is 15.2v. So probably have some step-up/step-down transformer inside battery. If 8 cells, probably wired in series and parallel combination for 15.2v.

Maybe it's your helmet.

Possible suspect too... anyway, mine's due for change. Any recommendations? looking for full face flip ups (FFFU??)

Seems that helmets are a difficult thing to judge by people's review so I'm not gonna "blame" anyone if it's not a good match for me...

Just connected. Starting voltage was 13.1v. Haven't fully charged?

Running voltage was 14.1v.

** This one... have been getting this reading since my last change of magnetic coil in Aug 12. Before change was 14.3v. For record, my 1st SW was 14.5. My 2nd SW-T was 14.3v. Anyone getting other reading?

Also, installed my Cree LED brake light. Didn't notice any drop in voltage when braking, unlike previous where a 0.2v drop was normal.

However, the LED is red. Looks normal but I've also ordered the white.

Transformer doesn't work on DC.

You can try Frogg Toggs from ebay. Forumer "naim" using it and can give review. IMO, not bad.

Apparently the underlying cell is "lithium iron phosphate", with nominal voltage of 3.3V so 13.1V seems pretty ok.

prestart n running reading:

(with stock swt electronics)

17 days old yuasa: 12.4v n 13.9v

new 12 cells: 13.2v n 14.1v

(headlight off n LEDs brake light)

yuasa: didnt try

12 cells: 13.5v n 14.4v

cranking: 12.++v

charging: remembered cannot use normal batt charger, 7a max. pls confirm with Cypher. I use DC power supply. the type I use to show the voltage meter connection.

red LED for brake light is correct coz of red lens. if white will have slight lux loss.

AN650L3 (current): All mod transferred.

SW-T400 (till oct 13): voltmeter, safety features disabled. coocase v36+remote. Adjustable, folding Brake levers. Givi AF318 windshield. on-off switch(pilot light, head light, hazard light), electrical seat unlatch,Dr pulley.

AN400K6 (apr07-dec11): side deflectors, J Costa variator, Dr pulley slider + HiT clutch.

YP250, RVF400/RS250, NSF125.

Isn't this very challenging?

So far, I only use cheap helmets and change every 2 years as they are wear and tear items. Also, prefer open face for local riding due to convenience of not having to remove spectacles and lesser heat for our climate. HJC FS3 and FF @ $100 each serve me well for up to 140kmh :) They are type-approved also.

Any recommendations for daily use, low-cost, mid-cut or high-cut waterproof riding boots? Been raining like crazy these few days.

Hmm... that means my voltage performance is... NORMAL!! hehe.

These red ones are functioning similarly with less voltage drop.

Our original was white bulb. That's why I assume the same color should be installed.

Anyway, shouldn't be much of a difference.

Hi SW community!

I am looking for a SW 600 (400 also can)... looking to buy in January.

Looking at machine 2-3 years old, good condition. Any idea how much I should budget?

Thanks and feel free to PM me if you know dealer who may have or if you know someone selling...

Cheers

Alex
