Hello, guys, back to silverwing again. Just wanna check, for those riding SW-T400, is there a power cut for Japan import SW?

 

Throttling is lighter but top speed reduced.

thinking of going K&T but that place seems always full-house ... grrrr

 

 

went to ducati thread, seems most riders there mostly go to minerva (agent)

or bike harbour... hmmm

Hi, I have a ride up on coming 29th Jun for the Durian Trip, the map is Here

 

However, our traveling speed will only be 90km/hour due to I have 2 class 2B bikes with me. (one of them is YBR)

meet 8:15am at GP Petronas and here is my itinerary, please advise if it needs to change

 

 

29th June，Saturday

 

8:15 GP Petronas Meet up

 

8:30 - 9:30 head to Kluang Railway Coffee +100km

 

9:30 breakfast at coffee shop

 

10:30 a short visit to Zen Xin Organiz Farm +20km

 

11:00 - 12:30 segemat Durian +130km

 

14:00 home

 

round trip about 500km

But hor, Raub Durian is opened only from mid August to mid Oct.

 

Guess we will have some local durians for now.

Uncle Lim is a Durian Stall, not farm. The durians are from somewhere else. According to my friend...

SW-T max speed is 150-155km/h

Previous FJS = 160-165km/h.

This new SW with ABS is a bit xiong...pick up wise.....just 2kg difference only and it already feel different from my previous SW.

Scooby why not a cb400 vtec instead? M400 can be quite expensive to maintain and spare parts availability is quite limited.

For some reason, the SW throttle grip is causing my to itch. I heard BMW grip is comfortable.

anyone using it, I find the original grip somehow thinner then compared to X10....that was so comfy.

where can I go to have the throttle grip replace?

no one can be sure how secure it is cos like someone said last evening, "even AIA can go down".

imo, why worry so much for $99 over 1 year, not like it's a $99m long term investment

* coverage starts the moment we set off from home, as long as we have proof that we're on the way leaving the country. e.g. air tickets with departure on relevant date, hotel room reservations for relevant date if on bike tours, etc.

 

* for 1 day bike trips (e.g. for movies, shopping, lobster, makan, durians, etc), coverage starts at Singapore immigration; probably need to be within some boundaries of the immigration complex, that we are leaving the country and not just being there for whatever reasons.

 

* "post journey medical expenses" ~ 31 days after return

the FAQ section of ACE's website on post trip coverage of 31 days is very "misleading", see below quote:

ACE FAQ section: If I was ill overseas but only sought medical treatment when I'm back in Singapore, can I make a claim?

ANS: No. You have to seek medical treatment overseas in order for you to follow-up with your treatment upon your return to Singapore. Follow-up treatment in Singapore must be sought within 31 days upon your return.

according to FAQ, if we go whack seafood at johor orang asli, come back then kenna diarrhea, we cannot claim unless we go see doctor in johor before returning???

 

hmmm... my QBE or Liberty travel insurance do not have the "sought treatment while overseas" requirement. e.g. my dad kenna flu after returning from a HK trip, we were able to claim his medical expenses at family clinic.

 

checked with Jamerson on this and he said it's still covered, refer to "T&C".

Section 3 (at page 5) "post journey medical expenses" has no such clause saying that sickness must first be treated overseas before return.

 

* $99 plan's coverage is for ASIA, not worldwide

For the budget annual travel insurance there are two plans to choose.

Asia or Worldwide.

 

Asia means: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and India.

So does it cover all country or SE asia...etc?
