Hi all.. just a noob question... What is the cost of replacing the wheel bearing for the front wheel? Any recommended workshop to go?? thanks..

Wheel bearings replacement are same as other bikes. Can change at any bike shop. Should be less than $50 bah.

Unless you wanna go scooters specialist can also have a check at other areas.

Hello folks, scrapping my swing in a week or so.

 

Not sure if I'll ever cross path with a silverwng again.

 

Intend to take out many of the important parts and accessories Ive upgraded to keep.

 

Ive short listed the following.

 

- full ferring, plastic.

- left right signal start switch

- brake caliper. reservior full set

- magnetic coil, rectifier, water pump

- fuel pump and tank

- wire harness, ignition switch

- radiator

 

Would appreciate inputs for whatever more I can strip

that cost a lot to repair in your opinion. ofcourse if i have the space

at home, I will strip until left the frame and engine case

Just an update folks and thanks for the interest in the parts.

I am in the process of hunting for another temp bike and still riding my silverwing around.

Will only be able to update on its availability in 1-2 weeks time. Paiseh if u are in a rush for spares.

 

Been looking at silverwing ( a bit skeptical ) and sym, kymco and x1 cups for local ride...

Trying to strip until I reach the crank shaft. Not sure my stripping kung fu can reach that level

but Ive stripped my 2 last bike to pieces before I scape them. Silverwing looks more challenging
