I just share with you my knowledge only. If out of goodwill he may give. But no shop will give warrenty once you are out of his shop for second hand parts.

Assuming your problem is exactly the same as mine:

1) Service Carb : $35

2) 2nd hand Fuel needle: $30

3) 2nd hand Carb reservior rubber gasket: $5

Total : $70

think i have to go check it out. same thing as yours. got strong petrol smell after riding. but happen sometimes only.

my riding style didn't change at all. just suddenly from 350km, suddenly drop to 250 - 260km

the fuel needle for what?

ok guys...after riding my bike since yesterday, i got some questions.

wat's ur idle rpm?mine is abt 2.6-2.8k. n moving off, rpm will b abt 3.5-3.7k b4 bike will move. my temp after travelling will b at 1 bar below red zone. r all this normal?

this morning, i went to buy something at petrol kiosk. so i parked mainstand w/o turning off engine. when i came back, saw 2 pools of liquid. 1 is right under the tank area, n 1 at left side of rear tyre. the front smell like petrol. can it b my petrol leaking? but after that i went elsewhere, parked for ard 1 hr...nothing dripped. so not sure wat it was.

Is your a honda engine or Ldr engine?

Normally my idle is @ 1.5k. about 3.5-4k move off.

Did you just pump full tank? or less then half tank?

I am assuming that yours is a X9 180 cc...2.5-2.6k idling sounds very high leh..mine is 1.5k when engine is warm.

To lower your RPM, I can teach you, cause the last time I tried it myself. Just below your seat, there is a cover with only 1 screw, take that cover out and just below is the carburetor. If you see clearly, there is only 1 screw on the carb that is accessible. That is the petrol intake. While your engine is running, turn the carb screw either way (less than a quarter turn) and you will see the idling RPM go lower or higher (i forgot which way is which already). Adjust it to 1.5k should be good.

Cheongster

bro...mine is 250cc le. as stated, it shares same component with honda foresight. ok i'll try to lower the rpm myself.since it doesn't sound so difficult.

to soundless...ur guess is right. my fuel hose got leak...so no petrol flow. last evening while going up my office basement carpark slope to go home, bike died b4 i could reach the top. so i had to push the bike up. my hands were trembling! lucky abt 5m only.

so towed the bike to the shop n had the fuel hose changed.

Hi everyone,

Currently riding an X9 180 Amalfi and require some advice. Been having some problems with my bike. seems like there is no power when turn the throttle. the bike response seems very slow and when at ard 6k rpm, its going at 70-80max and feels like its struggling. Anyone encountered this problem before? Thought it was my belt so had a full service done after only 8.5k but the problem still there.

After reading 1 of kenny's post on tyre pressure.. i think i pumped mine wrongly already.

My front is 260 my back is 300. Will this result in anything spoiling??

Is better to check the bike with the shop. I believe that carb might need some servicing or filter dirty le. Do check with them.

There is no fixed pressure for everyone. Depand on your load. For my case, I seldom pillion, having some equipment that total weight about 18-20kg underseat, I pump 30psi(210) front, 34(245) psi rear.

My friend weight >100kg+ wife(60+~70). pump 34psi front, 36psi rear.

7k rpm = 85 - 90

8k rpm = 100+

is this normal?

soundless you mention that lously speed is also lead by carb?

how long do you guys service carb?

most likely my problem is same like cheong. really.. 77km drop 4 bar.
