Hi bros/sisters, i hv problem for my x9 amalfi. the magnet n magnet coil were badly damaged. would these cause to other parts damage as well? wat is the repair cost? my bikeshop told me tat it not worth for the repair. Any bikeshop to recommend? pls advise...

Replace coil and magnet will est. cost 400+++.

To repair or not really depend on your bike condition and COE left.

My bike still can ride for ard 3 yrs. i afraid tat after repaired the coil n magnet, there will be more problems coming out nxt. the bike shop can't quote me the repair cost becos he afraid tat after change the coil n magnet, there still got other problems. will this happen? intend to change to x8, can u give some opinion on this bike?

The coil and magnet dmg won`t really dmg other parts. The most your retifier also burn in the process. but that is cheap.

To repair or not really have to judge yourself....

phew~~ finally.. hihi all, guess i be joining this forum in 1 week time? just downgraded to x9. read from the 1st page till finally now this very last page..i think it took me ard 1 hr plus to 2 hrs.. think i got quite alot of info about this bike. anyway am getting a x9 amalfi. 8yrs bike but told by the seller been overhauled when he bought it from the bike shop.. and he claim he have travel ard 10k since then. but the mileage meter only shows 3k plus.. So i presume he reset the meter in some ways? Or he change new meter? If he change new meter, will it be reset ? bike got new tires, brakepad, magnet coils, etc... so am i safe? cause i got a good deal buying it.. say like the price of shop eating price.

If your meter go 1 round le also back to 00000km. Like mine back to 0 le.... but the 5k coming soon....

No problem... but take note of your is a old engine, do not use too thin EO, as it may leak.

cos that's exactly wat was said to me. n after abt 3mths of ownership n few visits to other scooter shops, i can safely say that i'm convinced that it may not b overhauled after all. or...wasn't done properly.so...mayb jus to b sure, take ur x9 to a scooter specialist, e.g WM...n ask him to check.

Hi all bro's me jus bought a x9 180, e engine keep dieing off after idiling have been adjusted to 1.8 to 2, every morning i ride from amk to sembawang e moment i exit w'lands ave 12 and stop @ first traffic light e engine will die off, and i need to crank 3 to 4x then will start. (can any "lao jiao" give advice) thx.

well.. thks for the advise. as the bike is bought from choong, i'm quite worried abt it.. cause the seller said when he got it, they tell him it was overhauled but the previous owner have no $ to pay so end up for sale. so the seller bought it and got a prob bike instead. he told me he spend ard 2k plus total to rebuild the bike like changing the magnetic coils, steering cone, tires, brake pads.. engine mounting .etc.. i brought a fren who used to ride scooter along when i go down for viewing, he tested and think is ok.. and the price is ok as well, it was like he open this price but we bargain till 1/2 of the price he ask for. but coe is ending year 2011 oct. if the bike is ok, i renew coe for 5 yrs also ard 500. So i took the risk. monday will be transfering the ownership/ wish me good luck den.. will of cos go down some scooter spec shop to service 1st before riding. told that the bike was taken care from sunrise after he bought from choong. the belt he say he took over till now haven change. he's has been the bike owner for like 9 to 12 mths? 1st thing to change i think is the belt+roller?

-So my question is.. should i go back to his used-to-be shop where he do his bike or other bike shop?

-And how much i have to bring along for service the bike once i got it?

Belt roller u-shoes+ EO + filter+ spark plug = 220 @ future, tai hin.

 

Belt, roller, U-shoes+ washing and servicing of clutch systems = 220 @ WM.

 

Lots of us choose option 2. Better moving off and better attention is taken care of your bike.

Rather then some of them just blow the dust off and out back.

Some of them is not using orginal belt and use other brand.

 

If in doubt, please do not hesitate to beep us.

last week same thing happened, and I changed the fuse and it work fine.. darn.. should get Botak to do a thorough check instead of jus change fuse and move on..

If it is the engine mounting.... just change it la.....

Else it might be steering cone le....

can confirm is it engine mounting? cause sometimes have some times don't.. like especially very hot times, sure occur.. but like today rain whole day, don't seems too.. i can feel the back wobbling.. the steering cone?? seems like the handle bar can swing very freely left to right..

 

when i try to shake the rear wheel, i can see the whole bottom (eg. transmission box, air filter part) shaking..

 

anyone knows what happen exactly??

 

Engine mounting how much? will change to a new one or a old parts again?

Is anyone here selling? Any shops to recommend for 2nd hand exhaust pipe? Whats the price like ?

Can anything else be done to existing pipe to function? (spray painting,scraping rust)

and whats the cost like?

Normally we just sand and repaint it again....

If buy new pipe = buy aftermarket pipe cheaper....
