Whats future or wonderful pricing like to replace water pump (preferably 2nd hand)?

Im riding a 9 year old X9 Amalfi and I've been advised to replace water pump before it fails on me.

Also, Kenny, do you guys have any 2nd hand pipe (stock or aftermarket) for Amalfies....

Has anyone sprayed or bodywrapped an X9's body before. Not the actual outer cowling of the scooter but the black portions (dash, floorboards, etc). Where and how much?

Cheers

any bro can tell me how much roughly the oil change cost for x9?? how much oil is used?

without changing oil filter 1L should be enough but if change oil filter, it's abt 1.2L.

There is where the water pump is....

I think the seal for the water pump is compromise.

You will need to replace a new water pump.

Est cost for water pump is $200~220 inclusive of brand new coolant.

hi "soundless''

that's good information. as matter of fact, impact wrench is something in my wish list with different sizes of socket. do you recommend purchasing it via online or local retailer shop is ok? what torque range should i look up for? i'm trying to keep this coming to 10 years SL250, for another 10 if possible. other than the wear & tear of expendable items, i can't justify it to scrap.

in fact, i'm trying to retrofit with Malossi/J Costa as my next project.

perhaps "soundless", we can meet up for teh tarik over the weekend when I'm in town.

I prefer to use air-powered impact wrench. Those 12V impact wrench take 2 much time and not enough power to do the job.

Hope this help...

oh in that case i tink the belts really hv improve in quality. can last longer. but when going back, seems like there's a slight prob.after slowing down, i open throttle n the bike like unwilling to go. like got some lag. rpm will shoot to 6-7 b4 power the bike can pick up. dunno if got anything to do wif the servicing done. will monitor for couple of days b4 going back to botak.

Never encounter this before .... even i have change @ least 4~5 belt already...

But i do feel the bike a bit lost of power due to belt need to seat into the old plate.... A couple of days or week will be ok le....

thank you.. went Botak this morning.. saw the door not open, then go withdraw $$ and lim kopi at nearby.. then came back around 9+.. still not open, then i call him liao.. then see him came out next door.. lol..

total waiting about 1 1/2 hrs, repair about 1/2 hr.. $220 poorer. It's rather expensive for not so complicated part!! well, it's Piaggio..

i remember I used to change a Honda engine block about $350, yet the work at least takes half a day!!

anyway, I am happy man since the bike back to normal, and learn abit about this bike.. this bike had served me well, and I really don't mind to spend abit of $$ once awhile..

btw, Botak got 1 X9 200cc going for sale at $1900. He asked me want anot.. lol.. but I'm not interested since doesn't really got much different from my current bike.. but I am planning getting a Silver Wing 400 may b 1 day..
