If u put the box,get it with de pillion rest,den u no need to get the stand alone pillion rest..

yes i meant that..erm..it actually dosent support much..if u intend to put box,can forgo that..just but the box with de pillion cushion..works much better..

Of course i have not received my bike yet. Now thinking out 1st of how i can please my General at home.

 

The small backrest looks okok to me, thought that by installing that i can give her some support at the waist. Also becos it also can allow an installation of a box at a later time, seems like alright to me.

 

Swing7777, do you know of someone that might have installed this backrest cum rear box thingy in Singapore that might be able to show me physically.

 

Cos so far all i see is from the web and not on hand. Thank you in advance!

erm..ming quan aka cagiva03 has a fren that has fitted the box but back rest i personally do not know of any 1 that fitted..

Swing 7777, that you very much for the constant supply of info todate, really appreciate it.

 

If you do come across anyone who has one could you please update me.

I would most probably go get the item but has to pause for a while to check my finances so of course it is not an immediate thing.

 

Good think is that the bike itself has some storage below the seat, so will try to experiment a while but i am sure i would be getting the rest later this year.

 

There are also other things like mounting the new smaller ERP unit inside the front side compartments. Also carefully consider doing up a lock at one of the box, but have to be careful about the plastic.

 

Use to have a Goldwing and the bike have a lock at the right hand side of the bike. Will try to see whether one of my old Goldwing buddies can let me take a look at the lock system and if feasible, attempt the mod.

 

Many more to list here, perhaps i am getting too excited about the new bike and of course all these ideas involve $$$. So have to wait.

hi guys, anyone happen to come across any preown tmax in sg bike shop? like i mention just sold my r6 and happen to be on off today , went to bukit merah industrial walk around the whole area but no luck. Msg one of the fellow selling in the forum he told me his batt faulty ask me to wait to fix .. almost 1 mth liao still haven fix, don't think he keen in selling his tmax anyway so give up. if u guys happen to come across one in any bike shop don't mind let me know the location tks in advance

tat i'm not very sure cos he doesn't ride de bike often. impulsive buy i would say.

somemore his is de older model one, not de model tat u're looking for. 04 model.

i'm helping him post on de used bike forum.

to me..definately overkill n not worth the money..looks weird too!

 

btw i tried to customised a lock on my black max b4 too..useless..hard to fit properly n the plastic i tink abit flimsy..to me i dun feel its worth it la..but u can try..

It is a Tmax forum with about 60 pages of network discussions. Perhaps can find leads to other places.

The COE bidding just released ($902).

 

Hope my bid by the bike shop makes it cos there was more bids than COE allocated.

 

If all's fine then will have the bike sometime next week if colour sliver is avaliable. Keeping my fingers cross.

 

Ordered my bike from Looi's Motor and price is around 18K with comprehensive insurance and i am 47yrs old. If new owners are younger then insurance premiums will be higher. Might have paid a little more than other bike shops but i have total confidence with this shop as they do not charge you other nonsense charges.

 

I only buy bikes from them and have a long history (almost 20years).
