looking for a top box back rest? suggest u go get the piaggio x8's top box back rest. think is less than $60. confirm its the most comfortable.

 

 

bigcow, Thanks for the input, went to piaggio and saw the backrest. Yes and it looks good too. Should i buy it from them or do you know where else they sell cheaper?

 

Also went to Mah motors and was introduced a Kappa rear box and they have a promotion on these older Monokey series box. They are selling them at a discount cos now they carries the Givi and thus letting go of the Kappa boxes.

 

Was quoted about $220 without the bottom plate and the Kappa box is about 49 litre big. The top cover can be removed and spray to your color desires.

 

It feels alot sturdier compared to the Malaysian made Givi that sells for about $130. This is for everyone's info.

Going to be a new owner of a 2003 Tmax soon and after reading thru 18 pages of posts.... I am still a bit blur.... but totally excited abt getting the Tmax.....

 

Let me try and compile a whole list of questions, some answered.... some have many answers.... Hope the more experienced maxxers can provide some advice.... sorry if some questions have been flogged till death......

try Hock Hua 68413359 or Everfit 62931063.

this 2 shops are the ones bringing in bridgestone tires. so cheaper. but they dun do installation.

for burgman 650 & tmaxes, brigdestone TH01 is the best but most ex tire to use. just imagine this tire can cut across white lines on a wet day. never tried any other tires with such good traction. good choice.

i still love the OEM Dunlop Sportmax on de black max..super grippy..not like wad others claim to be slippery..1st day i got the bike was drizzling n the Tmax pulled me down on a corner (balls almost dropped),but it gripped like 3M tape..amazing..

I'm changing my riding preference after riding a X9. Found maxi scooters are pretty practical yet fun. So, if I can have a large cc maxi which can do both local and up north, then my secondary bike can be a either sports or hypersports type. Even if I do not have a second bike, I can still use a large cc maxi for up north.

 

So it is either TMax or a SilverWing. Am considering whether is it gonna be a Cls2A scooter (cheaper tax, insurance, parts and servicing) or Cls2.

It is final... got me a new '08 SW instead of TMax. The draw would be its slightly cheaper road tax and insurance, a larger luggage space and lighter on the wallet. Would love to have a TMax though after reading the good things about it, but it does not suit my purpose at this time.

Oh - what I mean is I bought an '08 model new from the shop. Not the GT version, not the "2009" version. Since there isn't much difference except the looks, I'd rather save a few $Ks and go for an '08 model.

ya..price is madness n it looks like it stole the desing off Yamaha (Majesty 400 to be exact)..

overall de "08" is a much better build IMHO
