Yesterday went to Hong Leong to install the original Yamaha rear passenger backrest and also the rear box carrier ( in silver color). Fixing up was quite simple except have to drill a hole at the rear top fairing to facilitate the mounting of the rear rack. Will post up pictures soon right after i confirm which rear box to buy. So many to choose from but most probably will buy the Givi V46 if they have it in silver.

yar i tried on Royal Purple already, want to try red line now both from US. but i drop the idea already i called the local dealer, he bring in only for car & he told me car lub is not suitable for bike..

try Hock Hua 68413359 or Everfit 62931063.

this 2 shops are the ones bringing in bridgestone tires. so cheaper. but they dun do installation.

for burgman 650 & tmaxes, brigdestone TH01 is the best but most ex tire to use. just imagine this tire can cut across white lines on a wet day. never tried any other tires with such good traction. good choice.

 

So have to bring the tire yourself to the shop you want to change? where you change? how much they charge for Workmanship?

hi all, just got meself a 2003 tmax.... and went to shop, change EO, Eo filter, a pair of dunlop tires, pump air L bracket, mounted the ERP.....cost me $449.....EXP??

 

Best part... when abt to move off, bike cannot start..... turns out magnetic coil fried... so now bike still in shop......aiya..... more $$$......but service excellent la..... that have to give it to them..............hahahah

Congrats and welcome to the world of maxxers. Shops are never good on warranty when this happens. Try to work something out with the shop like 50/50 on the price of a new coil.

no la i din buy the bike from shop... just went there to service.......and the coil happen to break down .....so change lor... nothing to do with the shop. guess 5 yrs old bike sure a lot of wear and tear parts to replace......but it rides beautiful....now just wanna learn more abt this bike...........

I was wondering.....should i add a brake light to the box? Only two issues here, the wiring that runs to the bike original brake wiring and also the selling price for the Givi brake light kit. (it is S$80.00 just for brake light) Can someone give me your honest views. Thanks!

$80 is a bit too much. have u tried asking from other places?

 

or if u have experiences with electrical stuff u can also try DIY some led to fix urself. my frd did it b4 and he said very easy.
