10 yrs old bike of coz falling apart lah...hahaha...btw wats ur mileage?

my an400k6, 53000km already, has the common oil consuming problem.

polini variator, dr. pulley and clutch at 40000km, is due for change, but fuel consumption still the same.

The silverwing imo has the rectifier problem. best scooter atm is still the 650.

 

no doubt the burgman 650 was my most favorite stable bike. but too bad it also has the self consuming engine oil problem. the engine for burgmans are not meant be taken under prolong stress.

that is why i'm riding the Silverwing now. did my homework before buying.

Burgman 650... I cringe when I think how difficult it is to service the transmission! Silverwing is fantastic mechanically, but visually its just..... nowhere near burgman!

burgman 650 transmission? wat is there to service? there is no belt, roller or u-clips to change. the metal belt is suppose to last a lifetime. only change oil.

Just to ck if anyone have the dr. pulley HiT clutch installed. Me in the process of acquiring one @ a pricy usd400 b4 freight. Would appreciate any reviews or opinions before i confirmed my order.

wow you guys say the burgman eat engine oil. so far mine did not eat any. now must check from time to time la.my bike already 11 years old got it when new. so far no problems touch wood.

The engine breather tube kinda slightly improve the situation imo.

 

The new silverwing GT is a head-turner though, abeit at pricy 17k.

Yesterday evening when I stopped my burgman 650 at a junction, its engine stalled (died off).

 

It occurred only once.

 

Everything seemed ok, engine oil level, pressure, fuel level.

 

Any bro or sister know why?

your FI might be dirty. go pump a few time Shell V-Power and see if it helps. another way is get those FI cleaner.

The fuel injector is like the carbs. It'll get dirty as time passes. When u last change your spark plugs?

Have not changed since I bought it in oct 2008 @20,000 km. Now 36,000 km only.

wow u mileage quite low wor. any sugg is u can go to Racewerks to get ur injector cleaned or using FP-60 plus. but i think u better change the spark plugs if nvr changed since the 1st owner.

nope. Guan Hoe is the Suzuki Distributor in Singapore. GHC are just normal bike shops.

thanks, my burgman 250 keeps having idling problem, FI light comes on intermittently, engine dies off often, anybody knows where a good place to service the fuel injector?

any bro know the trick to reset the" oil change" light?? my light lit up and i have change my oil liao.. but then the "oil change light" still lit up leh.
