Hi guys, the new season for World Superbike will start in a week's time. Looks promising as the dominant Troy Bayliss has retired and theres an influx of new teams such as Aprillia and BMW. KTM will be in the Superstock category. Furthermore Suzuki, Kawa and Yanaha will also be showcasing their new bikes, especially Yamaha with their so-called big bang engine being helmed by American Superbike champion Ben Spies. Do you think it will be successful to petition Starhub to show live telecast for it?

well, WSBK is thrashing motogp now in terms of entertainment and close racing. And World Supersport i would say is the most exciting racing on the planet. Gary Mccoy just top the time sheets of the recent world supersport test, would be nice to see his sliding style becoming competitive again

Somehow its always nicer to watch it on tv than on a computer monitor. If on tv, than can ask eating outlets like those in Simpang Bedok etc to show it live where bikers can gather and watch while eating satay. Hehe. Neway not sure if the Rossi challenge on Bayliss for a one-off race using production bikes is still on.

  • 2 weeks later...

After two races, seems like the Yamaha rookie Ben Spies is the man to beat. Not sure if its a case of the new R1 kicking the asses of the Hondas and Suzukis or is it simply the rider himself. For a rookie to do a double in only his second race and dominating all the superpoles so far is simply awesome.

Well... He is still considered a rookie in the WSBK... Fighting against former world champion( Max Biaggi) and former MotoGP rider(Haga).... Experience wise in the higher stage, he is still considered a rookie bro... Hahahaha... Just my .2 cents worth...
