hi all, i am riding a stock x1r with a stock pipe. i just realise my bike got a weird sound when travelling/throttling. theres a "bo-bo-bo" sound whenever i on my throttle (feels smth like a aftermarket exhaust kind of feel, just that the sound is less noiser, only u try to listen carefully den can hear the sound) The previous owner did a big bore his bike but i was told that he had alr change the block back to stock. also, he own a aftermarket exhaust during his ownership.

so my question is, what cause this sound to happen? could it be due to the carb setting or other setting had been changed to cater to the big bore kit or the aftermarket exhaust and it was not set back? or something wrong is going on somewhere?

i got a friend riding a spark told me that it could be due to the air box being take out. but i dunno where is the air box located at! hahaha, sorry for my noobness, 2nd day i got my bike only.

i dun think so. i got no problems getting my gear accidentally engaging into neutral when i change from gear 1 to gear 2 unless i didnt kick hard enough. but my bf engages neutral more often than me when he changes from gear 1 to gear 2 while riding my bike.

you can hear the airbox's sound from below your groin area when sitting on the bike. if airbox taken out the sound should be abit louder than covered ones. or maybe yours changed to air filter already so got sound.

Air filters and backfires,

High-mounts and loud sounds.

Hi everyone, i need some advise from u guys again.

Today i went jb to change my spokey rims to sports rim. And on my way back home, i realise my meter needle keep vibrating non stop and its quite bad. i try tightening the mileage cable but its still the same. any idea whats wrong with it.

and also, i also found out that the brake pads are slightly touching the the brake disc. it affect the smoothness of the wheels and it gets slightly tougher to move the bike even when engage in neutral gear. so my question it, can the brake pads be adjusted so that it wont touch the brake disc? and any idea how much it will cost to get in done in singapore ?

after installing the sports rim, i also ask the mechanic about the weird sound on my bike. he claim that the weird sound came from my valve. he say that either my valve is damage or there is something wrong with it? later when i get back home, i took out the fairings and confirm that my bike is fitted with airbox. and i listen to the sound closely and realise its from the radiator area. any idea whats happening ???

Possible problem 1: maybe the rims were not fitted properly thus resulting in ur brake pads slightly touching the brake disc and meter needle vibrating non stop

Possible problem 2: maybe ur brake disc or brake calipers were not fitted back properly.

either way, it should cost u less than $50 to rectify the problems since u are not required to change any parts.

ytd i also change my set of tires. i wanted to change dunlop but the machanic recommend me to change maxis tires as he claim that dunlop will develop "bums" on the tires over time. in the end i change to maxis tires. anyone heard of this brand and any reviews of this brand?

Bro what ur friend say is true, but it depends on what kind of rider u are, like to corner or just relax very safe rider..If u like to corner then it will be dangerous but even thought u ride relax wet weather also dangerous... and besides u shouldent buy ur tires in malaysia its risky, you should just save up abit more and bought dunlop japan from ahboy(SG), i never heard anyone complain about that tires having burn marks
