To be very honest, it's difficult to get a trust worthy mechanic at your first visit. For normal servicing, just do it at Singapore, really. Accessories wise you can go AhBoy, it's at that stretch. It's been ages since I went down there already honestly.

Hey guys,

I just got an X1-R a month back and its running on SP CARB, REXTOR CDI and YOSHI TRIOVAL END CAN and i get ridiculously low fuel mileage on it. Like 100-120km per full tank which sums up to at most 30km/l.

May i know if the SP CARB is the culprit? Or could it be some tuning issues?

Ouh. I just changed to a new battery 1 month ago. Is it something to do with charging system? Like a magnetic coil or wat?

I believe your carb is the issue. If you want bike to go fast, sure drink more petrol.

But if you can achieve better top speed then its ok.

I prefer stock cause if u mod here and there, u will visit petrol kiosk more often.

Its all depend on our own preference.

But for your case, its your carb. Maybe you wanna get it tune first to get more mileage out of it

Guys i have a voltmeter installed on my X1R and this is my reading. Is it normal?

Switch on ignition = 11.2V to 11.5V

While riding = 12.5V to 12.8V

Its normal. Your battery is charging when you are riding.

You should get worried if the voltage drop when you are riding.

Is it? But some people say when engine switch on must be 12V and while riding must be 14V?

Turn on ignition : 12-12.5 volts

Start bike : 13-13.5 volts

While riding : 14-14.5 volts

This is how it should be if you have a healthy batt & working rectifier + coil.

But mine is,

Turn on ignition : 10-11 Volts

Start bike : 11-11.5 Volts

While riding : 12.5- 13 Volts

Battery just changed last month. That means its either rectifier or coil prob?

Check first if your voltmeter is connected properly. Wrong connections can give false readings.

The mech fixed the wiring at some socket or wat at the horn area. Its under the black cover below the meter that one bro. Roughly how much will rectifier and coil cost bro and wat brand?

To see if the connections are right, take another voltmeter & tap the wires directly to your batt and see if both readings tally with each other.

Rectifier cost $26-$28, coil need to check with shops. Abit ex as you need to pay for labour charge, EO & gasket. Need to open your left engine casing to gain access to it. Get original ones from Yamaha.

Hi everyone me again, I wanna ask my fork is lower by my previous owner to only 3fingers gap between the mud guard and the top fairing. The fork has been cut. I know it's impossible to make it higher again. Any idea if I should buy one new fork, 2nd hand fork or aftermarket inverted fork to make it high back? Which choice will be more wallet friendly and also if u guys do know the price and location of the forks, do tell me. I need to up my fork urgently coz it's too low and I'm quite tall. Having difficulty riding it
