by the way if I can ask. I can't seem to post a new thread on the garage sale section under used bike section. Thinking to ask if anyone wanna sell off their fully stock spark or intending to scrap away their sparks to get back COE rebate during the last few months at a reasonable pricing with COE left between 5-11 months and can be renewable after that with the condition engine condition is good? as I just buying for using sometimes from point A to B.

A MUST HAVE for your daily ride !!

-----------------------------------

- Grab On Grip covers reduce vibration and give you a softer feel, reducing hand and wrist fatigue, so you won't have that tingly feeling in your hands after a long ride.

- There are riders riding sportbikes with low handle bars, complain of sore palms from leaning on the grips for so long. With Grab On Grip covers, these problems will be a thing of the past !!!

- Grab On Grip covers allow you to ride in more comfort, especially on those long rides. PERFECT for the daily commuter, tour rider, and sport riders alike.

Features

---------

- Slip over existing grips for greater comfort, or to renew worn grips.

- Work with heated or standard grips.

- Save $$$, no need change the whole heater grip system which is very costly.

- Shock absorbing EPDM foam for a smoother ride.

- Provide comfort to wrist and palm. (Great for touring !!)

- Glove friendly.

- Extra durable, ozone, UV, gas and oil resistant

- Grip Covers MC402/width 1.25-1.45"/5"Length.

** There's customers that bought and fit it on their bicycles too !!!

Great for city riding where there's lots of traffic light, your hand will be tired during the on going "stop go" situation, this product will help to ease the stress on palm n wrist. Highly recommended for despatch/delivery riders.

"Once you try it, you'll LOVE it"

IMPORTANT NOTE : Lot of customers been asking what's the difference between Grab On Grip with another brand that's selling @ $30-$35.

Ans : QUALITY. Expensive doesn't mean its good. There're customers that have used Grab On Grip and changed to another brand, eventually came back to Grab On Grip because of QUALITY inferiority of other brand !

I am trying my luck if I get any response from here.

I am a new rider. 22 year old under P-plate. I just bought a 2nd hand Yamaha Spark 135 (Clutchless) FBE plate on one of the bike shops in Eunos area 2 days ago(28/10/16).

I have registered my GF as a subrider as well.

Yesterday my GF was riding the bike on PIE just after Exit 9 to Jalan Eunos, when making a right turn, she skidded. It was raining heavily. She flew off the bike and sustained fracture bones near Spine/Pelvis area. Thank God no operation needed. She mentioned that 4 riders and 1 driver (Kudos to them) stopped and helped. The car driver helped to send her to her workplace at Eunos area as per her request. NO TP CAME into the scene and her colleague helped to push the bike out of the scene quickly. No other parties were involved also.

Bike Damages:

- gear shifter/lever bent, seems really very tight and stuck. Can't change gears no matter how much force I put on it(even if I stand on it)

- gear stuck on 1st gear. Engine is okay on idle but when i rev the throttle, engine dies. is this because the gear stuck or what?

- front fork misaligned(front wheel and handle bar out of sync)

- left fairing scratches

- left mirror misaligned (stuck and can't bring back to original position)

I have some concerns/questions:

- I have not contacted the shop yet as the day of accident was a Public Holiday and today is Sunday. Should I call the shop and claim that I had the accident on my own instead of telling them that the subrider was the one involved? (I have issues and worries about insurance not yet officially goes through the system for subrider)

- For the bike repair should I or can I claim the damages repair to the insurance company without getting the police involved? Or should I just pay the repair cost without insurance agency coming in to the picture

- Will the police know about this and give me or the subrider demerit pts + fine?

- Can my bike still be rescued/saved? Around how much is the damage if I decide to pay it myself?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much riders!

Only if you are using 1st party insurance. :p

No TP and no ambulance at the scene? Then you should be safe. :D

Will depend on the shop you sent it to.

Hi dear spark bros,

Can enquiry anyone has taken over a layoff spark before? just wanna check what's the procedure to get it "unlayoff" (meaning to be fully able to be on the road). Just taken over a layoff spark 135, although the bike can start but previous owner said need overhaul and also the front and back brake no more pressure which he said need to change the dunno what pump. Anyone can advise what would be the cost to overhaul and make good the bike again (exclude the "unlayoff" cost)

Call up LTA to enquire. Most likely there is a fee to get it 'unlayoff'. Got to get the bike in working condition and road worthy. Get it inspected. Insurance and roadtax.

Sounds like the previous owner laid it off due to not being able pay the costs of the overhaul or felt that it was not worth spending the amount? Overhaul costs varies. Will depend on what parts need to be replaced. Can range from few hundred to thousands.

hmm Duo, come to think of that, u might be right. for no reason why go layoff. The bike actually can start but cannot move. So I preparing a budget how much need to spend this bike to be moving condition. and the procedure to "unlayoff" really quite troublesome as what u mentioned. Have to ask tow truck to tow to bike shop (1 cost - not sure if can ask the tow truck send straight to inspect settle everything then send to bike shop), then ask bike shop tow to re-inspection and renew road tax (1 cost), repair the bike to be moving condition (1 cost). Insurance is no choice have to do regardless of buying what bike.

Keep in mind the bike has to be in road worthy condition for the inspection. Otherwise fail then must go again. Hence its better to get it fixed at bikeshop then go inspection.
