Interestingly, the highest percentage is in the highest bracket in this thread (>$5000) . It goes to show a lot of Singaporeans are earning decent pay. No wonder all the private housing are getting consumed like nobody's business.

thats becos the rest who are not >$5000 are mostly very young people....

 

With real inflation so high, $5000 salary does very little, definitely not enough for private housing unless one has already a good base saved up over the years.

True, you can barely afford a normal jap car comfortably with 5k. Let alone private housing.
