Hi guys, any Downtown 350i riders out there can comment on their ride? any reviews?

I have test ride a Kymco Downtown 350i recently at Motorsports and it seems to lack of power... lethargic and not torquey at all during pick-up, as compared to my Vespa GTS300....

Any feedback from 350i riders?

Future - Kymco Downtown 350i, Xciting 400 or T-Max 530?

Don't know about DT35 but DT3 is definitely more powerful than Gilera Nexus 300. I assume GT will be faster or feel faster due to lesser weight at 147kg only.

Piaggio 278cc pickup is very very smooth but don't feel fast as in no rush (my opinion) and before you know it, it is already exceeding the speed limit in the 100km/h range.

As for DT3 pickup is just as fast if not faster, the kick comes when it goes in to the 6000rpm range (Nexus (as it is using the same engine as gt) will be in the 6000rpm above from the beginning pulling into 7000rpm). The turbo (DT3) or pulling effect as i call it, is not much but it's there pulling into the peak torque range around 6500rpm till 120km/h.

Both DT3 and nexus have an average top speed of 140km/h. Some more some less depend on your luck lol. Mine is less at 140km/h other DT3 can do ~150km/h.

278cc @ 22hp Vs 298.9cc @27hp I think DT35 should be higher in hp. Don't forget the weight also play a part in power to weight ratio.

Have fun.

Either scoot you choose they have their pros and cons. Both are good depending on your preference. comfort? Fuel? Power? Stability? Maintenance? safety? Image? Lol many many.

Some questions for downtown 200 riders.

ANy riders here is 1.8m tall and above?

I am 1.85m. I tried sitting on it and find the riding position cramp.

Do u think cutting away the back rest cushion will help?

Compare to K-XCT200. will the xct be more worst?

Long time no see bro. :) Comparing Downtown with K-XCT, the seating for downtown is definitely better. At 1.8m tall, you'll definitely feel cramp sitting on a K-XCT. I've tried both and downtown is much more comfortable but i prefer the xct design more. :p In your case, cutting away might indeed help.

I was riding DT300. Now own a B200. Size and under seat DT is better. Same for power. The B200 is weak in terms of the transmission for pick up from low speed. But once settled on high speed above 80kmh, it is pretty alright. B200 FC is 34km per liter avg. I was getting this with my DT300 anyway.

Maintainance costs almost same with Suzuki slight cheaper. Eg Oil filter cost $15 for Kymco but B200 only $7 both from agent. However serving at Guan Hoe Suzuki is terrible pricing. Very ex. For new bikes. Kymco give free 2 servicing. And all free. Suzuki gives you free service but you pay oil and it costs $48. More ex than normal oil change outside.

I am thinking of selling my April 15 registered B200. Immaculate condition like new. Champagne gold. Drop free and properly run in at 5000km now always sheltered car park. PM me if keen.
