I think it would be nice for you to change your "Nickname", What do you think-change to "vtec666" .. only a suggestion!

 

For the last meetups- Its' okay if -you cannot make it, there are always next times....you are putting up at Choa chu kang area...most lilkely the next meetups will be around the west or city sites..

That day or say morning -after our supper we head to mustafa to check the walkie talkies (motorola T5550R $89)temporaily No Stocks...(maybe next week or after stocks coming in).

The critical speed for the Divvy engine is around the said 3000 rpm. I believe most the chaps here knows about this. It is very pronounced between 2500 to 3000 rpm. Anything below or above this range, the bike is, as you said, smooth as silk.

We went there(mustafa) after our supper,that was around 0100a.m...and we were looking for that particular model T5550R which was selling at $89... .

 

About the vibration it is normal for any air-cool engine it depends on the CC and models - some bikes vibration comes in early and some later ~for our bike- lucky it was at 3000rpm. Example harly has almost at all rpm's...he,he,heee! There are bikes that the vibration comes in later, which you can never ride at higher speeds...

Travelling at 5000rpm is nothing compare S/ghost,OMD and me revving up to almost 7800rpm the with panniers.Mine you, it is not advisable for to revv at that speed provided if you have that guts..... As mention ,at 3800 rpm you don't feel the engine vibration and that had caught me by surprise:thumb: Really man....this bike can almost hit 270km/h if that mid section,under the crank case of the exhaust is removed and replace with full-system....wowzer:faint: Hey vtech666,why don't you try it out at NS highway during sundown.That is where no speed trap...he,he,he.....!Good luck..!

I already got my givi screen ordered after he order his skidmarz months later, custom,kevin and 'vtec666' got their eagle screen in weeks..of ordering only.!

 

And still that pity bugger waiting for the skidmarz...from biketech21.

 

Think about it- look/check out anyone interested to sell their skidmarz screen try checking it with "Kevin"....

Hi Yob-Rekib,

what clour is your bike, now-a-days I hardly see XJ6s' on road...few years back it can be seen on the streets and at HDB parking lots...how was the condition, when you take over.

 

Have you checked out the YDCN sites...they teach, advice you -what to do or self repair and look out for any arising problems ahead...they cover more on xj6 then xj9..a very informative site.

 

As I say it is lucky that, the vibration starts early, not later...!

About the (bagster)tank bra it can be ordered at motorworld -10 kaki bukit rd. tel:6844 0792 takes about a month+ it cost about $155/- please bargain! colours ~ black, ash white(silver) and dull blue...

If you order ~ need to put down a deposit...using credit card surcharge +3%, ..nets also can..

 

They are few type of (bagster)tank bag, priced from $120 to $160...which can be bought, there at the B1...all tank bags are black colour.

I bought the $160 which can expand when need arise..! and the bagster can be shove into the side panniers..!

 

As what custom says- don't rush into everythings, take your time prioritize your needs..

Try to get riding gears with good paddings..protect yourself 1st...then later comes the bike!

Before you head to motorworld, put up in this thread, maybe someone who is free might joint you or meet you at the motorworld..

Biketech21 caters more to the track bike folks. Their products are more inclined towards those into racing. As for screens and such for the Divvy, it is something they do when they "tompang" the shipment. They would not specifically order it for you, especially if it is only one piece item.

 

FYI, I got the front fender extender from them, because I was lucky, it was a balance stock. Never see them bring those anymore.
