i found 3 places carrying Krauser K2 panniers parts. (our model) but only 2 of them sells the strap you are talking about.

1 from Netherlands the other from Germany. Unless u die die have to use them, DIY will be a much cheaper option.........

Thanks bro...

I use black tape to secure it for the time being. Will keep a lookout when I go to other countries.

Actually mine both side also broke, never do anything to it, still can do without the strap. Supposed to find some nylon cord to tie, but too lazy or always forgotten.

Hi Vtec666,

You can try Bridgestone Battalax series BT020 or BT-45 both I've tried they are good in both weather~ rain or shine. As for Bt020 is proven by many bikers.

Take note *As for Bt020 especially front tyre -have a uneven wear and tear- after 6mths of use.

You can try to change the tyres at any SPC workshop ask around. As for me they Quoted the same price as the bikeshop I did at Yishun SPC (beside the singh temple) did a good job wash/clean my rims blow clear dust from brake calipers and grease the pins they used a proper tools to work on my bike.

Now I'm trying out BT010 about $150 on the front and Bt 45 is regular about $130 at the back, As for BT 010 during the wet weather I don't have much confident at the start~ but now I have more confidence - as on dry weather it has the best grip for riding and braking. So far no uneven wear n tear on the BT010 tyre.

Summary:

BT020 tyre is cross-ply type, mainly for kupping, therefore is more applicable for ppl who like to bending. High speed will wobble. That explain on the uneven wear n tear.

Z6 is 0 degree type, gd for high speed w abit of twisting. For ppl who travel highway most of the time.

Hopes it's help.

Hi Guys,

Actually the BT020 was fitted to most tourers by the major bike manufacturers as they have 2 type of rubber compound - in the center they use silical rubber which will withstand long distance/longer for wear and tear heats faster for good grips and the side where given the usual rubber you able to take corners without slipping off, advantage can take corners in rain low and confidently and I did that by scraping off the exhaust and box on my old ST...he,he,hee! that was before!

But If you would like to try out the other model/makes- make sure people who suggested in here have proven it by themselve or otherwise - You deicide by yourself- o_O

Hi Vtec666,

I was a regular at looi's but I find that it is not much of a different in service if compare to any other workshops-the mechanic(fatty, now no more) ever scratch my rim and frame (never say sorry sincerely) that was before...as for tyre pricing they are the same...most of the time when I go, they always have no stock...either the front or rear....(they ask me to try on dunlop but I insist on bridgestone)

Too far for me to go unless if I passby, I drop in. If you want to go- go ahead...!!!

Please take note- Always remember when any workshop remove the rear rim...after replacing the tyre ask them to grease the spindle gear before mounting back..! (shaft gear meets the rim gear)

Only want to change tyre SPC can do unless you have other things in your mind!!!

You're staying at CCK area why don't you try Sin Boon workshop at Northlink -Sembawang drive which is nearer to you, service is good too. Reasonly I fix an IU unit (2nd hand). Nasser is regular there...

"Now most of the workshop knows' that if their service is Fu*k" .... people simply change or service at other workshop - they will be loosing customers so they need to work "like pro".

Anyway, talkin abt women. I am going to get married soon myself and we have titles in the house already.

I am going CEO and she is CFO.

Which title is easy, I leave for you to decide.

My doggie is chief security.

Geez, lucky me, being an accountant for a profession, confirm CFO. One thing to take note, never, never, never, never, die, die, die still never to the following at this point in your life;-

1. Let your CO take charge of renovations! Confirm contractors will like wives doing the renovations rather than the husband, becos they are not so technical incline (unless engineering background) and so sure kana chop all over the place for most alteration works. Everything also say workmanship, material good, level of difficulty lah, all kinds of crab just to get the wife to spend more. Husband shld get involve and re-direct the burn-hole renovation to become a affordable and practical renovation.

2. Same with your wedding portfolio, everything also once a lifetime lah, latest fashion (even though its imitation locally sewn of the original), lots of extras to add-in with wedding package! Ask those photo studios to throw in a full package, and cut the extras crab.

It takes business negotiation skills to talk to the vendor rather than sit one side and let the wife do the talking, she would most probably be swept off her feet, not by you at that time! So don't take the house tea or coffee and sit one side, most probably got sleeping pill too!!! Take charge. The scolding will sure come, but at least you dont have to mend your burnt hole.

hehehe.

(p.s. the above advice is given and taken with a pinch of salt, may not work for most husbands, but who knows? Domestic financing advice from a professional accountant.com):goodluck:

Nt sure about divvy but I've ever change it for my S4. The bike was reaching 5years old, noticed that the changing of gear was not smooth, esp from 1st to Neutral..always gotta blow a bit of throttle before kicking up. After changing the clutch plates, it was as smooth as silk.

But bear in mind that changing of clutch plates will involve engine oil and oil filter change too, thus it is recommended to change it only when you're about to change your engine oil to save $$$.
