Hi Buggers,

Riding gears:"basic requirement" you'll be the judge!

helmet 'open face'

demin jacket

jeans (stricitly no shorts, bermudas, miniskirt)

shoes (strictly no slippers)

gloves

As For Touring Gears.

Full-face helmet regardless of brand and pricing as long as it is above $150 have decent quality and good enough - REASON open face can do more harm and can have permanent scar's to you face! when you fall/thrown out head land first!

Riding Jacket with good padding proven by many tourers. whereas denim jacket -you will be absorbing all of the impacts when you fall.

Riding pants comes with padding at those impact points/area. jeans say no more as above jacket but better then bermuda's exposing your knees.

Riding boots design to take impact and was padded with abrasion absorbing materials, angle support and prevents exhaust burn when bike fall over you. any boots or 3/4 shoe covers your foots' angle is good enough-waterproof better still.

Gloves get a full length gloves preferred full grain leather (2 pairs better as I mention earlier) open or cut out fingers glove dosen't help much. Mostly your hands is the one go down first to break the fall/reducing the impact to your body when you fall imaging that.

Prevention is better then cure...

Safety bugger : Silverghost

as a Safety bugger has the right to band the biker that is not in proper gear~ not only me the trip organiser have the right too.

And for those guys (dahun-paithorn) who have interest to join this trip -we are sorry to say that this trip was limited to 10 riders only. "We have our reasons" As for next trip we don't mind you buggers joining us, we are looking forward that, you guys will join us...prepare yourself with proper riding gears. Thanks for your understanding and co-operation.

In this way, subconciously, more people actually go for the trip...hehehe :cheeky:

Some facts to prepare and aspect for this trip.

1. Tyre

Ensure tat ur bike tyre pressure is at it's correct pressure.

Pump ur tyre in Singapore petrol station as usually GP side is spoil.

Tyre repair kit, foot pump, jumper wire etc are well come to bring along.

Bats, please bring ur 1st aids kit as ur r the medic of the group.

2. Clothes

As we are going to hot pool, even u dun want to join, u can bring extra clothes + shampoo to shower urself at tat place.

Hope this will help to refresh u a bit b4 we head for dinner n SG.

3. Time

Due to places tat we r going to, time management is very important.

Follow the time period advise by us so tat we can max. our riding enjoyment.

4. Meals

We'll be taking early lunch and dinner.

abt 11am for lunch and 5pm for Dinner.

If u can't get use to it, hv some light snack in between.

5. Weather

notice tat most of the rain comes around mid of the noon.

so prepare for this with a good set of rain coat.

6. Twists and turns

If the weather & times allows, we'll go for route tat are populated w bends..

Ride at your comfort speed limit, not speed to chase.

Safety comes 1st b4 anything.

7. In Town

It is easy to get lost in Town given the size of this group.

Try to stay close to each other to avoid this.

Other than tat, touch wood and and enjoy the ride

When going for riding trip, few bikes are good.. but not too many.

Parking got problem, makan got problem, shopping also got problem.

This is a day trip, we don't have much time to waste.

Just like join normal group tour, if there are too many members in a group. You will waste alot of time in waiting.

In the end, you have to rush to wait and wait to rush..... sound familiar....

Hi buggers,

Today changed my rear tyre as-usual 'nail' was the culprit and it's almost time to change' actualy it can last another 2 months or so, but as trip is just around the corner, there is no reason for me to save it and for safety sake, I change it- Now using Battalax 090 low profile price $155 as for the front I asked~ it was priced at $115/-

This will be another testing for me and I'll get back to you'll about it's performance and feed back.

Hi Uncle Custom,

I know that ~ it is not they recommend or something like con me into buying the low profile or such thing, they have other make in 150/60/17 which I 've tried.

I ask them- do they have any other new tyres - under battalax series and they have this BT090 which I have not tried yet but what they have is in 160/60/17- as for our bike use ~ it is wide and look's like "low profile right"...

If I put lower say 160/50/17 - this I cannot pillion every small hump I'll be scraping my front lower exhaust pipes and center stand ...:faint:

As for our bike 160/60/17 considered wide already more then that, must shave the edges to fit in...ha,ha,haaa!
