I got all the brake disc at a very good price which custom had offered me and swift.

You should change your brake disc and brake pad together.

And remember to service your brake system regularly...

Hi Bats vtec,

fyi, ur front rotor is sharing the same part number(not the rear), which means it can be interchange. I think someone had change only one rotor in the front although it is better to change both juz like our brake pad.

all u need to do is to

1. gather at least 3 rotor in total (front or rear)

2. transfer $ into my account

3. inform me through PM/hp

4. wait abt a week for collection subject to stock avaible.

5. find ur own trusted workshop to install for u.

Hope this help.

Things tat u might consider changing...

1. wheel bearing and seal (front and rear) => abt 3-4yrs life span

2. steering core bearing => abt 3-4yrs life span

3. fork oil and seal => abt 5 yrs

4. rotor screws (screw tat secure the rotor) => when u change ur rotor

5. stainless steel brake hose (if u r still using orginal rubber hose) => for better braking n even wear on the rotor.

I knw tat these are lots of money but after this changes, they will last u for the nxt few yrs or ur nxt bike change :cheeky:

hmmm just wonder where r all the buggers tat asking for the rotor...

for me, brake and tyre are the only 2 contact between u and earth. anything can spoil but if these 2 gv ways, only god knw where he send u to...

I'm currently too tired to do any MO unless I found some thing tat i need to change and the price is better than our 3 friendly shops. Maybe afraid of kenna ppl asking too many qns and in e end :giddy:

The screw for roto is $1.50 each (price from AM). You need 6 screws for one disc.

You can't use other type of screw, because its speical type with a bigger screw head.

I need to think over on the rotor M.O.Scared make e wrong decision..but I'm certain that both my front rotors are not in good shape, appears to be warped or uneven.(can tell by looking at the worn off areas)Finding the root problem is my main concern as my emergency braking is not that responsive at this time. It could have been my:-

1) brake caliper system due to improper compression of piston.

2) Mis-alignment of fork or front area due to accident.

3) slightly dented rotors due to accident that may have stressed and deteriorate during prolong period of excessive braking

Need advice on the above mentioned assumptions for me to prioritize.

BA,

There are a few ways to check. The easier one is

Put bike on main stand, lifts up front wheel and spin/turn. Observe the brake disc spin, your eye look perpendicular to the thin edge of the disc. If the disc goes left and right, mean it warp and time to change.

The difficult and more accurate one is using dial gauge to check the run out.

Effect: A warp age brake disc will affect your braking effect and also might effect your fuel consumption.

Solution: Change the disc.

As for brake caliper, you can take out your brake pads and check. If there is uneven wear on the pad. Your pistons are not functioning properly.

Or

Lifts up your front wheel and turn, if you feel resistance on the wheel, chances are your piston/s cannot be retracted.

Effect: Poor braking, affect your fc.

Solution: Service your brake caliper, change your pistons and seals.

Accurate alignment on front fork or front area with bike, you have to send to bike shop, who is able to check the fork/bike's alignment.

So far, I don't remember there is any bikeshop who is able to do this... o_O

Hi Guys,

WhatsUpmannn!!! long time no see you guys, it's a kind of busy lately...as threads going ghost "slow or no replys" for sometime is normal but after awhile it picks up- gets on as usual.

I've check the Varta Battery the company that imports it in- it is pricy and you cannot get it anywhere in singapore. It's about $170/- more expensive then the car battery  top up a little bit more cash can buy 2 car batteries.

As for the Yuasa from japan still on the waiting period and wait, for the ship to come...:giddy:

As far I see my bike's battery -now 3.8yrs old- still going strong and the charging is good and as for the starting there's no problem. I know it is matter of time only.

Thanx for the advice.I've check my front wheel and there is resistance to it,same goes for the rear too.Maybe I should service my brake calipers. Btw,does uneven surface on my brake disc result in unserviced brake calipers or is it because of the rotors itself?

I've check the front wheel at a parallel view and it seems fine.

SilverGhost>

What is good about this Varta battery? More durable than Yuasa? Have you tried it before, cos I'm thinking of changing my battery. My headlights dims when I start the bike and brightens when i blow up the throttle.I'm aware of this thing as it is quite normal but the difference is very significant.I'm afraid that my battery gonna die on me any time soon.Is this a sign??

Safe rides
