Thanx for the advice.I've check my front wheel and there is resistance to it,same goes for the rear too.Maybe I should service my brake calipers. Btw,does uneven surface on my brake disc result in unserviced brake calipers or is it  because of the rotors itself?

Yes, one of the causes.

Dirt on piston seals, ageing piston seals, dirty piston, uneven surface on piston etc will also lead to unserviceable of piston.

When you service caliper, change the pistons and seals as well.

One more thing to add, you have to check when you feel resistance on your wheel. Is it from brake or the wheel itself. If it is from wheel and not brake, then you have to look into your wheel bearings and wheel axiel screw.

BA,

The brake so far so good but there is sound coming out from the rear brake. I believed that it is due to the uneven brake disc... Cant do it now coz low tied liao! Maybe have to wait till March see how..

By the way the bike got it from Hongkong Yamaha diversion XJ900P website..haha! :cheeky:

Wow! :giddy:

So expensive huh?

By the way what is the normal price for our battery? Are you currently using Varta battery for ur bike? Lifespend so long... :cheeky:

Hi Bro,

It's not that I'm using the varta battery or what- I've heard about it and some known kaki car owners swear by it and by the way - varta is from Germany.

I check it out~ form the importer/sole agent for the pricing.

I'm still using the yuasa battery -japan OEM.

Yuasa battery should cost around $80+ to $90+ made in Japan."black casing"

the china made around $70 to $75."translucent casing"

Infact our bike battery can last much longer then most latest bikes out there as our bikes charging is low due to less electronics in our bike-

Try not to modify or add alot of gadgets e.g spot lights and other electric sucking devices to it - using the bike on a regular basis helps to keep the battery constant charging.

Maintaining the battery also plays e.g keep the contacts clean and nuts tight, regular check of battery's charge/holding and condition of the battery. if possible when your bike is not in use for a long period -try to hook the battery to a battery charger to maintain a full/complete charge.

Yo Bro Tan,

I have not try the mah's for part yet.

The number plates', "T-plastic holder" is from those aquarium shops- they use it to divide the fish tank about 0.50cents per piece or so...As for the number plate mine was the original.

You can check out with some motor workshop to do it for you or you can do it at those shops that does those number plates- one is along desker rd.

Wah SG...Post number 1111...!!

Hi Swift,

It is not that the highest number of post is good or lowest is bad.

Alot of people can achieve these higher post numbers just by putting a few words that dosen't 'make a sense or link about/to the bike', words that nothing to do with this thread or just those clickable smilies to score the highest post number. Just imagine, those buggers from other parts of the world read our thread

I prefer to put something useful as for others who does the same too, exchange ideas and get solutions for our bike e.g modification, add on's, where to get parts cheaper, trips and not forgetting bikers meet up/appointments that benefit our diversion buggers.

Yo Bro Bats,

You mean they "do the curve number plate" plus fixing OR just drill 'T plastic holder' with the "your original number plate" on the front mud guard and charge you $9/-.

I think I'm abit loss or maybe others will too.

Hi Bats,

For that price I find it is reasonable... Those who have the curve number plate - I think most of you buggers are able to DIY do it yourself and *keep that money for your hard work.

Is that $900 only for the front brake system?

which means :-

1 pair of rotors including special bolts & nuts

1 pair of EBC brake pads

Cleaning kit for brake systems calipers

New gasket for the calipers

Service & Charges at bikehop

Correct me if I'm wrong,i would consider doing these if my brake system deteoriates.
