Perhaps something more convenient. But no rush la. Just see what bike comes in my way, then take it if opportunities exist.

Hey fellow YBR 125 owners, just a interesting fact to share.

Our humble ybr125 workhorse actually shares its powerplant with a enduro and a supermoto!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_XT125R

The Yamaha XT125R is a single cylinder enduro/adventure bike produced by Yamaha motor company since the 2003 model year. It shares its modest power plant with the YBR125 and its supermotard brother, the Yamaha XT125X

Its definitely not an underpowered bike as it can pull off wheelies and stunts in the hands of someone with skills.

Watch this:

our YBR engine actually has much pulling power! :)

Use its power band well and its not slow off the line. I managed to pull away from the morning malaysian commuters on their modded kup kias at the lights. And can hear they were at full throttle trying to bully the baby alien head. I think its because our bike have 5 gears making it quicker off the line. :shy:

All in all, the YBR 125 is a no frills transport bike. But it wont be bullied by kup kias. Its the best selling bike in the UK for the reason! :thumb:

So fellow YBR riders, we can be proud of our humble looking machine as it is one of the best in its price and size range.

Don't forget that even though the powerplant is technically the same, the YBR125's powerplant is made in China.

I thought Brazil one worse. U see the pics of YBR from brazil, they look like they have inferior fit and finish compared to the chinese ones.

You just have to generally compare made in Brazil bikes and made in China bikes and you will see the picture. Haha.

Guys!

I cannot seem to pump air in my front tire. This problem started months ago. The nearest Shell petrol station pump near my house suddenly cannot pump air into my front tire. But my back tire can, no problem. But i tried other shell petrol station, still can pump air into my front tire.

Then a few months later, today, i tried another shell petrol station air pump near my place as well, but this time, the front tire cannot pump as well! Back tire still can.

Then when i go home and check the nozzle for the air on my wheel, its okay. Perfectly fine. I can let air out, no worries. Compare with the back tire, the "needle" also the same height as the rear tire. Any ideas? Both petrol stations, use same pump designs, even to the metal rod to stick in the tire valve nozzle.

dunno. just pump at other station. i prefer to pump at caltex, feel their pump easier to handle.

i recently had a puncture on my rear tyre. but from the sounds of it yours isn't.

guess no one wants to wash ybr.

Don't be daft. Vote for change.

Its okay bro. Not many people wash YBR. Its either it gets dirty too easily or when you wash, nothing to wash also. The only thing that i really need to wash is my chain. The other parts dont really need to wash at all.

But important is the chlome(chrome). That one you have to wipe nice nice. If you don't it will look damn dull. But if you wipe it clean, si beh shiny la sia.

I find that for my bike, need 98 or v-power. I run into more problems using 95 or less. The thing is that, i use 95 almost all the time. When i use 98 or v-power, i can start my engine easily in a cool and damp place. When i use 95, need to open throttle full, close fuel petcock, and hit the electric start for 5-7 seconds than the engine can turn on.

Pickup damn bad on the 95 ah. Everything also bad. But cheap so i dont really care. Must be kappiter setting.
