Suzuki GSXR 1000 K2

My boyfriend and I are trying to find out a couple of things regarding bike as we may consider selling it. Hope anyone who knows can help us in giving advice and guide.

 

I need to find out(to get an rough idea) how much does a Suzuki GSXR 1000 K2 would fetch if I were to sell it now or less than 2 months time? Would there be a difference or depreciation in terms of when we sell it?

 

Here are the short details -

Make: Suzuki

Model: GSXR1000 K2

Reg Date: 18. Jan 2002

Mileage: ca 68'000

Insurance cover until : 4th Oct 2009

 

Another thing is would it be better to sell to someone or a shop?

If shop, which shop would be advisable or rather fetch a better price?

older bikes got even lesser value than new ones...

now I guess should cost about 6-8k max.

if sell in 2 months, i reckon a loss of 1k? especially if sell back in SBF.

Can I know what would you mean by sell back in SBF?

i mean if you sell back the bike here, good luck, coz you might be better off selling to shop as there will be much less hassle.

You can alternatively negotiate with the shop that you are purchasing from. Say maybe sell back to them in about 2 months time at 85%-90% of purchase price? That I'm not too sure myself.

My boyfriend spoke to the shop where he bought it from and the seller seem not to be so interested in taking it back. But if we are selling, we are looking at the price of 7k.

 

would you recommend a shop where we can go to the shop and discuss with the guys to see how it looks like at the moment?
