Hey guys, what kind of rain wear do you all have? Does anyone have something that can fit inside the pillion seat? On normal days I wear riding jacket, but if it seems like going to rain then I'll wear rain coat... Was thinking not very safe to wear raincoat alone... Somemore today i tot wun rain so just wore riding jacket then going home time stuck in office coz no raincoat...

Coolant reservoir is the under the seat that one right? they did leh.. but still like that..... the water pump that one i wasnt there to witness it so i can only say thats what they claim they changed.. like for tdy, i was there, i know they changed the hose and the radiator cap..

 

when i just bought my bike also got overheat problem.

after they repair the bike they even test the bike.

after confim ok then i collect the bike.

maybe u can ask the the mechanic to test the bike so that they can chk for other problem too..

I got mine from excelcycle.. The 3.9k one is from the same shop right LOL. Dun get that la hahah.. Anything pm me.

Fellow bladers. im so so so pissed and dissapointed.. after whatever things that was done to my cbr this afternn, i rode to batok and at a traffic light, my bike had smoke coming from under the left fairing... i was not sure how long it had been smokin but it was constant.. i quickly rode to the nearest bike ahop at CCK and reached there only to find my temp gg all the way up.. when i switched off my bike, the whitish liquid came out again! even after so many flushes, the whitish stuff still as thick as b4... ZZZ no choice call tow truck back to shop... called the shop and the mech ask me leave it at the shop while they do a swee swee one... better be..

 

btw, any of u here might knw what can still b wrong with e coolant system? changed water pump, radiator cap, the hose i not sure connect where one but is the one under the raidator cap quite thick one.. thankfully, until now havent pay a single thing EXCEPT for 3, yes 3 tow truck services ZZZ

Anw last favor to ask from cbr forumers ~ i will go down to hunt for cbr4 with my friends, after which if possible can any of you do me a favor by going down to test e bike also. cus non of my friends riding cbr , and im sure cbr rider will understand cbr behaviour better ~ but it wont be soon . maybe may or early june ~ cus im at china having my attachment now ~

I had changed new master cylinder piston kit recently... calipers service before... but still not getting that biting power leh... Actually thinking of changing to those wave type of rotors dunno good or not...

ya those rotors are gd,but i dn have the money to change neither i think its worth.i change my piston kit,caliper piston and hel brake line already not bad liao.but the brake disc brake until thinner and thinner after use 2 years lol. sorry bro ur avatar there nvr put,i din knw lol.i only knw jeff stay boon lay

 

Hose and radiator cap are cheap stuff so they wun mind changing for you... Water pump is around 160 I think, can't rem last time I changed was abt 3 yrs back... Anyway so I think maybe they din change for you, even got change maybe is 2nd hand one...

 

3 yrs back my mechanic spotted something on my bike... My water pump was working fine, but he discovered that the previous rider's mechanic had used silicon to seal the water pump, guess it might have been leaking then, what this meant was the drainage hole that was meant as a failsafe if either one of the two seals in the water pump leaked was totally covered and if the seal broke the EO and coolant will mix together...:giddy:

 

So I changed the water pump immediately... The following month I changed all the coolant hose as well... Since then I dun have any overheating problem.... Also I changed the fan switch to the modified type, where it will on the fan when the needle is 1/2 way instead of the stock switch which will open at 3/4 i think....

 

Lastly for my own personal preference , I always use Maxima Coolaide coolant... I dun trust all the other brands... Reason being this is the only one I know of which is magnesium safe, as I believe these old bikes coolant system will have magnesium parts and if the coolant is not magnesium safe the parts may start to corrode...

 

mine also the same prob water pump reject,hose dn come cheap anyway at least 200 over for whole set.dn change one piece.wan to change change whole set.the pressure of the system will be the same if u change all at 1 shot if not u will see another hose bursting soon

 

Oh, tml i will go qns them! keep asking if they did change a new water pump.. Damn sian collect bike ride abit then have to send back ZZZZ..

a few rds won't see the prob de.you start the bike at the bike shop,rev abit then leave it running till temp shoot up and fan start to turn then u see gt anything dripping down a nt.

what i was told abt the coolant reservoir under the seat is that it's a reserve. i do fill up some coolant there but not full.

 

and regarding the hoses, it's all below the tank and carburetor. got to take out the tank before you can see all of it. the thick one connecting to the radiator is only 1 part of it. inside got alot more. hope it's not a kinder surprise situation for you when you remove the petrol tank.

This FF helmet is quite good for the price tag... Only bad thing about this helmet is even after you close the vent in the chin area, air will still come in. Open or close doesn't seem to make a difference...

But overall a nice helmet, never regretted buying it at all... Do ensure you get the correct size...
