i think as long as not below 12v should be okay den again that depends on whether are u using your fan , light and pole light etc.

How many volts when bike is idling with yr headlight off and on?

15v means your rectifier is gone or going soon...

Anyway good job getting the voltmeter... :thumb:

Another good device is a battery/charging tester... Brand is soundtech, able to tell you if your batt charging is good or not... Bro Fx110 recommended me one.... Really nice device...

Hmm I wi guess spark plug? Or like you said it's cold, that's why difficult to start. If can start without rev/blow the bike I think it's good enough already? Most cbr I heard need to rev/blow then can start de.

Actually 100 not much thing to change...:cheeky:

What you can do is maybe service your bike? Change EO, spark plug, air fliter etc if you haven done so... Another good idea would be to bleed your brakes....:)

Seems like not very good charging bro... :(

May be a good time to change your harness? :cheeky:

Anyway the device I was talking about is not something you put on your bike... Is just a tool for you to connect to the batt to check the charging... :cheeky:

voltmeter, service carbs, airfilter, service forks? not all 4 choose 1...

Cheap + fast = no good

Cheap + good = not fast

Good + fast = not cheap

I wouldn't recommend servicing the carbs if you dun have spare cash. Coz sometimes you service the carbs the rubber inlets may harden and crack or the rubber rocket shaped pins, forgot what they're called, may harden and cause the carbs to flood... Happened to me before service carbs then end up spend about 200+ coz had to changed the wear and tear parts since take out lioz... Some more everything in 4 pieces... :cheeky:

With headlight off you should have at least 14v charging... with everything on you get 13v idling should be ok... When riding 12v+ is ok... When your bike idling your charging should be more then when riding... That's why it's a good idea find the spot where your charging is max and set the idling rate there... Normally is around 1.5k rpm.

Change harness simply coz next time you want to change also cannot coz the stock will run out lioz... I had to wait about 2 yrs for the harness to have stock... But you not planning to ride then it's ok I guess... :cheeky:

Actually bro, installing a voltmeter is a very good idea... Coz CBR very prone to electrical problems... Also is in your budget.... :cheeky:

When you start the bike in the morning dun straight away rev alot... Bad for the engine... Let the bike warm up... If you find you need to hold your throttle to keep the bike running in the morning, the idling rate might be too low... What is your idling rate? Also could be your carbs... :deal:

Yeah, i know its bad but sometimes thats the only way my bike can start.. uh idling is ard 1.2ish when warmed up. what can i service to ensure this doesnt become a problem? like tdy for example.. I kick to 1st gear, rpm falls to 0.7 likethat then i had to rev it to keep the bike runniong. And when i fully clutch in, my bike still moving forward! lol.. But after i rode for about 30 mins, i stop at traffic lights, rpm back to normal and bike doesnt move when clutched in.. Whyn like ths?

Maybe your fren changed the spark plugs with the wrong heat range? Happened to my fren before... Then he changed the correct heat range plugs and the bike was running fine...

If your bike still moving when clutched in, then chances are your clutch plates are worn off...
