do u all feel that the bike is jerky when u ride at ard 4k rpm... like choking or something... is this normal??

It only happen at 4k rpm or also happen at other rpm?

Try to suddenly rev a lot, especially on slope at low gear, if there is a delay in the power, like choke, then suddenly power comes about 1/2 second later, most slightly is clutch slip. Time to change clutch pi. Abt $140-150 dollar.

asked if the clutch plate causes the stall at rpm 5 they said no, and went on to cut some holes in my air filter and do some lil things here and there.. seems to have solved the prob..

cut holes in air filter? That will allow bigger dirt particles to go into the caburettor. And your caburettor will be dirty more easily. ANd maybe some particles will find their way into the combustion chambers and scratches the internal.

 

Has it got to do with the tuning?

 

I just send a NC23 HUrricane to tuning. The effect is very good. Before the tune, the bike heats up easily abt 70% normally and gets up to 80% when stopped and fans always turn on at traffic light or destination carpark. Whatever rpm idling I set from 1.1k to 1.5k (reccomendation from Haynes Manual is 1.3k plus minus 0.1k), the bike always stall when I clutch in and down gear from 6 to 1 during traffic light stop line.

 

After the wash carb, and tuning, the heat problem is solved, very cool, seldom hit above 60% even on sunny noon with many trips and stops and jam, when off engine, then rises to about 70%.

 

Now rpm idling is at 1.1k and it doesnt stall when leave to idle in the morning. It drops to about 0.9 to 1k and after 1-2 minutes, it smoothen and gets back to 1.1k. It also doesnt stall for no reason. The acceleration is also smoother, it doesn accelerate in steps when u open trottle at first gear half clutch control like some carb open and some carb open half a second later. And now the carbs are synchronised to open and close together. Very smooth and shiok feeling just like my NC29 fireblade last time. It runs like new. I am really impressed with Honda engines.

The most important thing to a sports bike is Front fork, rear shock and effective brakes other than normal engine condition. Or else the stability will be lost during cornering and it is highly dangerous to ride without proper effective brakes and hard suspension.
