hi guys..juz wana ask if it s illegal to cover one 'eye' of my cbr and where can i get it done?? Is it compulsory to change the sai tao to have this done?? Any brand of hand grip to reccomend? ^_^

L Model>>F4I radiator can fit in meh? Any idea how much and where to get? Has it been done before? Never seen any of the CBR400 do it before.

TZMM>>Bike 'warranties' in bike shop are as good as null. I've had a similar problem like yours with the same bike shop a few years back. Never went back there again.

However, it seems the 'warranty' bike shops give everywhere are not really trustable. No black and white even, just verbal only. So I think buying 2nd hand bike depends on luck. If good luck, good bike. Bad luck, bad bike. Based on experience in buying bike. Also, next time when buying bike bring an experienced friend to check BEFORE taking out the bike. Once they issue to you, they will say 'not their pasal.'

Saturday when going back there, bring someone experienced with you, see thoroughly before taking the bike back again. And Im talking about someone who has years of experiece riding, or racing better still :goodluck:

its illegal. check out OneMotoring

well, i did saw a 'camel' who did tat on one of the gatherings. looks pretty good though. o_O

u can get a headlamp lens replacment for a opaque one, install it & get it sprayed.

for optimal results, like the camel i saw, u probably need to do a fibremould on ur frnt cowl. then of course u would need a respray.

i hv been using harris grips.. no complaints, got it ard $25@chiap lee.

u never hear an R1 & such there for servicing.

they r probably only familiar with modenas, underbone, & skippers.

i believe tat upon choosing a bike fr a shop, do choose one tats relatively gd. do not take the salesman's word tat he ll rectify the probs for u.

if it comes with damaged parts tat r expensive, in most cases, the shop ll try to shirk it. eg may inclu slightly uneven rotors, faulty brake systems tat requires entire replacemment, etc. these parts may cost hundreds & may seriously undermine their profit.

Haha.. Class 2A bikes they still can do.. but class 2 they cant.. cause they dun have the machine to service it.. but they know how to.. but no money to buy the machine. Example fuel injection.. they cant liao.. lolx.. but class 2A and 2B can do there lor.. And u may be surprise that the spare parts they have are geniue one. chiong one they have also.. but original one they can also get.

its a simple analogy,

have u seen pple riding RVF, CBR, S4, R1, CBR1 in jb?? i guess not if not for a few. a R1 in m'sia costs almost RM80K!! so y would bikeshops there stock up parts for bigger bikes??

to them, everything is 'hao' or 'bu hao'. 'hao' costs more, & 'bu hao' costs less. so do u want the 'hao' or 'bu hao' parts??

to me, it doesn't make any diff cos i realise the 'hao' pads they were referring to is SBS. the 'hao' EO is pouring a small can of 'hei you jing' into the 4T. if i had requested EBC or carbon lorraine, i guess the mech will open his jaw wide. sometimes u really wonder wat these pple r thinking.

i still find parts & mechs there not competent. unless one is satisfied with sub-standard parts. its a sad scene there for bike enthus. long realise it when i was still staying in m'sia.

i believe those who had used IRC would tell u the same thing.

better choices would include gpr70, bt090, bt010, m1 etc. mostly in the region of $250-$280, as usual, get fr HKL.

i believe rear tyre stock size is 150 rite?then fronth is 110 or 120?

This camel front sai tao went through professinal hard moulding for 10cm wider diameter usign actual fairiing material. In my ownership didnt face any problem except some remarks from friendly white bike. No summon or warnings. Only when i close one eye then they become strict.

Check out LAB, think they have those Bronze "Yoshi" rearsets that can fit on the CBR400.

Regarding the damper, perhaps u can ask kaieiru.

dampers can get the daytona one... length-wise need to measure... but the main issue is the mounting bracket... tink will be quite hard to find... good luck

i think a gd way to start off understanding ur bike would be laying ur hands on a haynes manual.. it really helps..

regarding the issue of blacklisting, u could probably hint to fellow forumers but never condemn & spam them here. there was a recent classical eg regarding Bik*Te*h2* & Ale*31. though everything kinda calm off eventually but its still better tat we watch our mouth..

'thai yoshi' costs u ard 100+ bucks @ LAB. try to avoid Aunty shop on this cos the price she quoted was kinda off. knock off rearsets still works though they r nt adjustable & colour might fade over time. cheaper deals can be found across the causeway.

regarding damper, u might wanna check out motoworld to try how the handling really feels 1st. forget abt those crap dampers from LAB, those ll send u eating the tarmac when they seize @corners.

juz my 2cts worth
