Recently i've been interested in phantom bikes and would like to know if is it there are different type of phantom bikes on the road? Is it all under the 2B license?

 

And what's the cost (including of insurance) between a second hand and first hand...

Types: TA150/TA200/TA200 custom4

The numbers are the cc.

 

Second hand around FW plate $1800

New ones are around $6000 that is what I last heard 2mths back.

Got my FZ TA200 custom4 at 3.3k

Saw a FBB phantom I think its the newer custom4 with fire design paint work

going at $4.4k

 

That's all I managed to survey b4 getting my bike...

FU plate TA200 2nd hand around $1400. Depends on condition as well. FU plate is around 7 yrs old now.

Added -> covered forks, relocation of ignition key hole, changed handle bar, changed exhaust (sound abit diff too), changed speedo (more features like low fuel indicator). nothing much then.... engine all the same.

 

TA200 = FT(2000) to ard FY(2004?) plate

 

TA200 C4 = FZ(2004) to FBC-FBD(2008?)

My costs of owning a phantom since June 08 :

 

TA200 5th hand - $1450

Maintenance costs since June 08 - $300

Road tax - $62 per year

NTUC Income 3rd party insurance for 23YO P plate - $500

Season parking - $15 a month for HDB

Petrol - $8 every 10 days (roughly 300km)

Misc (Parking/ERP) - between $5-$10 a month

 

A phantom is affordable.
