i find that nowadays there are plenty of vehicles which come with clear transparent brake light and signal light lenses (be it using LEDs or halogen bulbs)

i'm interested to find out what are the regulations covering this area?

for example,

orange bulbs + clear transparent lenses for the signals

red bulbs + clear transparent lenses for brakelights

change from halogen bulb to correctly colored LEDs e.g. orange, red

are there any specific rules which have been published?

i cant seem to find any on the onemotoring.com website

thanks for any contribution

According to some ROVs and TPs that stopped me, the only thing they asked when I had clear covered signal lights was if the light was orange. Showed them and all was fine. But then again, since when do they know clearly by the book on whats legal and whats illegal? :D
